Test the machine’s priming ability. After waiting for a minute, turn on the machine and press the trigger to dispense the cleaning solution. Only the tank-within-a-tank design raised any issues, being difficult to judge remaining clean fluid when the dirty water level rises. The next is preparing the carpet cleaner and filling it with water. When cleaning your carpet, use the available options, such as light clean, water clean, and normal clean. The removable part of the hose is then disconnected from the machine and fitted to your chosen attachment. The Bissell StainPro 6 has a motorized brush roll with six rows of bristles, allowing for thorough cleaning of embedded dirt and odors. The red wine stain was something of a formality for the StainPro 10. Within a couple of passes the stain was significantly reduced, thanks in no small part to Bissell’s excellent cleaning solution. Had we carried on for another pass or two, we suspect it would have been removed completely.
