Commentary by Executive Producer / Co-Screenwriter Hampton Fancher, Co-Screenwriter David Peoples, Producer Michael Deeley and Here's the short version: There is one, and only one, extra that is new to this set and unavailable

For me, Blade Runner 2049 is a titanic achievement. It's the sequel I never wanted but am overjoyed to have. Villeneuve and his creative partners nailed it. I’ll tell you, I find it extraordinary after all these years to still have the chance to discover so much that’s new in this film. If you love Blade Runner like I do, this new version is a treat.

This is a film that seems rather eerilyIf you’re watching Blade Runner for the first time, make sure you watch this version: 2007’s "Blade Runner: The Final Cut". Lovingly remastered and re-edited by director Ridley Scott, it’s the film as Scott intended it to be seen all those decades ago. It removes the unnecessary overdub of the 1982 version, restores some cut scenes and puts greater emphasis on the much-discussed "unicorn theory" – the central mystery of the film, that we won’t ruin here. was shot digitally with Arri Alexa XT cameras at 3.4K, receiving a 4K digital intermediate for its theatrical release. We'd lump it into the 'might as well be native 4K' category with Deadpool. The Film Vault, as mentioned above, is licensing their releases from Warner Brothers and Universal.
