About this deal

The entire book can be seen as an active case study, as you learn the techniques Drew talks about, yet AS YOU ARE READING THEM, you catch them being used to catch your interest in the process! Very, very intriguing!

However...and there is a however, some of the methods he prescribes are quite crass and questionable. I'm all for simplicity in the message but a certain degree of elegance wouldn't hurt, I think. Feature a picture of a person "looking at you". It’s one of the most powerful ways to grab people’s attention.

The book is broken down into only 4, but VERY conscious opening chapters. Remember, the book ACTIVELY uses the same techniques it teaches, from the titles, to the chapters, and sentence structures. Survival – this makes me think of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs – we all need basic food and shelter. Makes sense this is the first point of the 8. We have to be able to live day to day, so if there is any product you have the chance to sell that keeps someone alive, well, you have an easy job making sales copy for it. I don't give it a 5 out of 5 because I'm not experienced at all in advertising and didn't read any more books on the subject. But I don't have any other concrete reason. Dr. Direct knows his shit. period.

If you want people to respond to your offer, you have to make it as easy as possible for them! Don’t you be the lazy one! The more you ask people to think, the more likely you’ll lose them. Rule of thumb: Express only one thought in a sentence, no more.Next, make sure that the wording you’re using catches the eyes of the type of people that you’re marketing to.
