About this deal

Therefore, I have to believe that it would be one of the most photographed subjects in Mt Rainier National Park as well.

Christine Falls: The First Quirke Mystery (Quirke Mysteries

It’s the milder sort of waterfall that is equal parts Bellingham and Middle Earth, and is well worth the hour and a half drive time. A relatively short hike (2.5 miles) is all it takes to reach good views of cascading water, surrounded by mossy logs and nearly neon green foliage. Christine Falls was a conspicuous waterfall that we stumbled upon after missing the trailhead for the nearby Comet Falls. If you are considering continuing up the trail beyond Comet Falls to Van Trump Park (which has excellent wildflowers in season), plan on the end of July or early August. The road between the Nisqually Entrance and Paradise (a little hamlet where a lot of tourist activity is at) crossed over Van Trump Creek between the upper and lower tiers of this waterfall. It’s an extremely impressive drop, and you won’t ever be able to see the entire thing, as it’s just too tall. Mal did not answer. He studied Quirke and saw how drunk he was, and a cold glint of relief came into his eye.

The parking area for this hike will fill up on a nice day, so we recommend arriving prior to 9am if possible to have the best chance of getting a spot. Christine Falls is a waterfall on Van Trump Creek in Pierce County, Washington. The falls are 69 feet (21m) feet high and are best known for the Christine Falls Bridge spanning the lower drop. The upper drop is 32 feet (9.8m) high and is almost impossible to film in tandem with the oft-photographed 37-foot (11m) lower tier. The lower tier is probably one of the most commonly photographed locations in the Mount Rainier area. [1] Comet Falls is 300 feet tall, and is equally impressive from far away with its winding river and cascading smaller falls in the foreground, as it is up close. It dwarfs the other waterfalls in the area and is well worth the extra effort to get to compared to those other waterfalls, which are largely accessible from the parking lot (or within a quarter mile of it). Directions: From the Nisqually entrance of the park, drive 10.7 miles, just past the Comet Falls trailhead to a small parking area. A short set of stairs leads to the falls overlook. The easier – but by no means “easy” – add on is to hike up to Van Trump Park, a meadow that sits at about 6,500 feet above sea level with great wildflowers in early August (ish – it depends on the year) with views of Rainier looming in the distance. Just be sure to make a day of it and explore all that college town Bellingham has to offer – nature and otherwise! – while you’re there. Boeing Creek You’ll be able to hear them from a distance, and will see the mist spraying onto the trail as you approach it. Some of the prettiest and most easily accessible falls in Mt. Rainier National Park, Christine Falls offers a charming intimate setting for viewing the powerful falls. This signature view of the lower falls is framed by the historic, arching Christine Falls Bridge. The falls drop 69 feet in drops of 32 and 37 feet respectively and are notorious for being nearly impossible to photograph together. Since the lower drop of the waterfall is spanned by a bridge it most often photographed – and photographed often. The upper tier of the fall is not as easily viewed. Find this little gem on the road to Paradise. Limited parking at the falls is available. Located in the Seattle neighborhood Broadview, this expansive 220-acre waterfront park has many great features: think dandelion-dotted meadows, beach access, playgrounds, and hikes galore.
