In the casino, Mugman and Cuphead worked together to gain a winning streak at the Craps table that surprised even King Dice himself. When the Devil approached, he offered the duo a bet: If the boys won, they get all the loot in the casino, but if they lose, the Devil will take their souls. After some training, Cuphead and Mugman went to go to collect the soul contracts, using their powers to battle bosses, run through levels, and save the Legendary Chalice. Mugman may have felt their bond slipping during the events of "The Devil's Pitchfork," and wanted to make up with Cuphead by turning their bikes into Tantum Bikes. Mugman bursts into tears when Cuphead asks if they really have to do everything together, but later forgives him when he tells him that there isn’t anybody else he rather go around blowing up stuff with. They would later spend the day causing chaos together with the Devil's Pitchfork, after he left it behind. Though, he still fears the villain, often shaking whenever he appears, this is especially shown in the Devil's Pitchfork as he is taken away in the Elevator to the underworld. A bit more cautious and thoughtful, many consider Mugman to be the sensible one of the two Cuphead brothers. While both of them are playful and, at times, immature, Mugman is much more of a worrier than his sibling. However, sometimes despite the fact that he has a more cowardly nature, Mugman always stands up for his brother and is happy for Cuphead to drag him along on their many adventures.
