FTX Ravine Rock Crawler Review - Car Magazine Products

The FTX Ravine is indeed a buggy in shape compared to the mini-doppelganger crawlers, but it’s still hugely capable of dealing with the rough stuff, particularly given the value for money. Anyway, despite having a goodly bunch of ballraces, it's still a toy with plastic drive cups with no optional metal upgrades. Do any of their others have metal drive cups? Maybe they'll fit. Topped off with a tubular rollcaged body and interior set, the FTX Ravine is ready for you to go climbing! So yes, it had rained that morning, which turned the dirt trail the colour and texture of smashed chocolate mousse and given it a rich earthy smell to boot. The Ravine couldn’t get enough of it. While its top speed is modest, the Ravine could certainly maintain it in the mud; it just jiggles around as it scampers over the top.the kanyon is utter pap, the way the body mounts and bumpers mount speaks volumes for me, as you say a crawler (not a great one either) with a “scale” (in the loosest possible way) shell and it still looks plain wrong. Topped off with a tubu-lar rollcaged body and interior set, the FTX Ravine is ready for you to go climbing! Topped off with a tubu-lar rollcaged body and interior set, the FTX Ravine is ready for you to go climbing! FTX Ravine Features The Kanyon is also quite good, yes it's a bit big, and basically a crawler with a scaler shell, but the build quality is there, and appeals to the target market. Underneath the retro body is a collection of purposeful parts. The 550 electric motor is efficient and powerful; the suspension, driveshafts, steering servo, chassis, and axles are all heavy duty and metal. In CAR’s group test it took a pummelling and kept going with no issues.
