About this deal

I have enough light to focus so am I right I wont need modeling light? And there wont be issue with mixed lights if Ill use higher shutter speed? disclaimer: I'm just an avid, self-taught amateur who shoots portraits and events so take everything with a grain of salt (ok, maybe a spoonful of salt) Maintenance of the flash must be performed by our authorized maintenance department which can provide original accessories. The flash-tube and the modeling lamp are user-replaceable. Replacement tubes and lamps can be obtained from the manufacturer. For indoor shots Im usually on f/4 1/125 ISO1600, with on camera flash bounced to ceiling (Im not using continuous lights).

The MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

Short press the Modeling Lamp Button (5) to choose the modeling lamp's mode (OFF, PROP and percentage); and long press the Modeling Lamp Button (5) to switch on or off the function that the modeling is off when triggering the flash. This product, except consumables e.g. flash tube and modeling lamp, is supported with a one-year warranty. Although it is predominantly made from lightweight, high-quality metals, there are a number of plastic parts to the system but all plastic has been specifically treated to ensure it can withstand any high temperatures that it may have to deal with when being part of the Godox sk400ii. This is ideal as you may be using the lighting system with a 0.4 second recycle type and rapidly capturing photographs and activating the unit making it get hot in a short amount of time. With the meter retract the dome and take a reading of a light or window. Stretch the fabric across the dome and take another reading. Optic S1 Secondary Unit Setting: In M manual flash mode, press button so that this flash can function as an optic S1 secondary flash with optic sensor. With this function, the flash will fire synchronously when the main flash fires, the same effect as that by the use of radio triggers. This helps create multiple lighting effects.

glad you're not perfect. from what i heard, all the perfect ones, aka angels, have been recalled .. to heaven edit: I looked over your posting again. It seems that you already have decent flash (it can swivel). if so, you can just get a tt600 and a trigger for now and use your flash in optical slave mode. Anti-preflash function enables synchronization with cameras that have a one-preflash firing system . c) Go for the TT685's above the TT600 for the same reasons I did - the price difference is not much - if the V860 is a good price then go for it - just make sure it is latest version with wireless built in. Synchronously press the GR/CH button and the S1/S2 button can turn on/off the built-in wireless transmission. If there are no wireless and channel indicators displayed on the LCD panel, the built-in wireless transmission is off. On the contrary, the built-in wireless transmission is on. Synchronously press the S1/S2 button and BUZZ button to recover factory settings. Alarm DisplayIf you don't have a flash then buy a TTL hot-shoe flash first. You will want TTL for on-camera run and gun photography where the subject to flash distance is constantly changing. Correcting for that changing distance is the one thing, and the only thing, that TTL does well.

if your equipment is list correct, you're shooting with a d600 and 50 1.8g. Your lens at above f11 has diffraction limits, resulting in less sharp pictures. https://www.dxomark.com/Lenses/Nikon/Nikon-AF-S-Nikkor-50mm-F18G-mounted-on-Nikon-D600---Measurements__834 If you can, keep it between f2 and f11 for the best picture; Use the power cord to connect the flash to an AC power source and turn on the power switch (3). Modeling Lamp The video below offers an additional third-party, independent review for the Godox sk400ii to offer our readers an independent opinion of the product. Do not flash directly towards naked eyes (especially those of babies), otherwise it may lead to visual impairment. An SK300II is probably 3 to 4 times more powerful than any of the flashes you are considering (except the AD200, of course). That's less than two stops more powerful. In practice the difference in power will depend on the characteristics of the modifier you are using. The flash unit is built in with a Wireless Control Port so that you can wirelessly adjust the power level of the flash and the flash triggering. To control the flash wirelessly, you need a FT-16 remote control set (oncamera and on-flash). Insert its receive end into the Wireless Control Port on the flash and insert the transmit end into the camera hot shoe. Settings made on the hotshoemounted transmit and receive ends will be wirelessly communicated to the flash. Then you can press the camera shutter release button to trigger the flash. You can also hold the transmit end at hand to control your off-camera flash.

When using a snoot, do not keep the modeling lamp on for a long time or fire too frequently (not over six times for one minute). Overheating will result in damages for strobe housing and/or studio light. Shut down the power and remove the power cord before replacing the flash tube. Wear insulated gloves to loosen the iron wire on the tube, keep a balanced hold on the two feet of the flash tube and pull out the old tube gently. Take down the feet casing from the old tube and put it on the new one. Hold two feet of the new tube, and target directly towards the two copper outlets, then push them slightly in. Twine the iron wire on the stainless steel sheet to fix the flash tube. I opted for the TT685's above the TT600's because a) they have TTL which maybe, just maybe I need from time to time and also, they can act as a master for the rest. Tug is absolutely right but (yeah always but... ) I disagree with the conclusion nothing to do with what you are doing now. In your current usage, you should use manual mode to get the consistency. However, I really think you should buy at least one of the TTL version for future growth. Before I understand light, I considered myself a natural light shooter. After I went through the strobist 101 course, I pretty much go everywhere with at least one speedlight. You will be surprised how much a little off-camera, balanced fill light can do for your picture. If money is tight, then go the tt600 with an eye of getting a tt685 down the road somewhere. outside the studio, e.g. event photography, having ttl is game changing. There was a thread not very long ago by someone who has this strobe and he was having big problems with it overheating. Search the forum for SK300II and I'm sure that thread will turn up.Select dial (14) decides different power output, satisfying light requirements in different environment. The power is adjustable freely from 1/16 to 1/1 which will be accordingly shown on the LCD display (10). "--" on the display indicates that the flash triggering function is turned off. Press the Test button to discharge power when the flash output is adjusted from high to low. Test Button Once the flashes or strobes move off camera and the subject to flash/strobe distance is fixed the exposure never changes. You should immediately go to Manual Exposure on the camera and Manual Power control on the flash or strobe
