In most cases, any item fixed to the wall will be large enough to cover and obscure the Gripit from view. Once installed, theGripitbecomes an integral part of the plasterboard and so will not compromise the wall's structure. Our newest Gripits are designed to use both flat head and Phillips screwdrivers. Although Gripits aren't designed for specific screwdriver sizes we recommend the following: Holes can be filled using any method suitable for patching plasterboard walls. Please see here for one such method. Is there a minimum distance I should leave between Gripits? All Gripits have been independently tested on 15mm plasterboard. Yes. You will need a diamond hole cutter sized correctly for your fixing diameter and a suitable saw/file to cut four small slots in the tile (these are to accommodate the Gripit's anti-rotation fins).We recommend aflat drill bitor a hole saw. Please ensure that you are using the correct drill bit size for your fixing. Any holes left after removing a Gripit can be filled as you would for any other fixing. What equipment do I need to install a Gripit? To fit the Gripit into dot & dab you will need to use one of our undercutting tools to create a recess in the adhesive which will allow the wings to open. You can buy this tool here. Can I use any screw size with Gripit? Yes. Our Undercutting Tool is specially designed to create a recess for the Gripit wings to unfold if installing on top of a dab of plasterboard adhesive.
