If you try to update the firmware of your iCUE Elite Capellix liquid CPU cooler and the update fails, it could be an issue caused by RGB motherboard software, such as Gigabyte RGB Fusion. To fix this issue, try the following steps. The Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX liquid CPU cooler provides extreme performance and flashy RGB light shows. It sports a graceful design using a slender 360mm radiator paired with three 120x25mm magnetic levitation RGB fans. The base uses a split-flow copper cold plate with 128 micro-skived fins per inch. Anything RGB can be controlled with iCUE, so you no longer have to mess with multiple software suites, and there is the fact that the flow of colors in certain modes is synced so much better than was possible for us before Corsair stepped up their game! Support for the iCUE H150i Elite Capellix covers all of the current processors! AM4, sTR4, and sTRX4 are supported out of the box for AMD, while on the Intel side, there are 115X, 1200, and 2011(V3)/2066 support. The last bit in the chart covers the five-year warranty. Currently the radiator is set to top intake, with the bottom case fans also being intake and the sides being exhaust. I originally had the radiator set to exhaust with bottom/sides intake, but tried reversing it in hopes of remedying the issue. Using a PWM voltage regulator, we reduced the speed of the fans manually down to half their rated speed. At this setting, the 120 mm MagLev fans of the H150i Elite Capellix rotate at 1220 RPM. Since the pump’s speed cannot be controlled directly, we had the Commander CORE module attached to a PC and set the pump to operate in its “Quiet” mode while testing.

over ambient at idle seems too high for me. It seems like you have the radiator as top exhaust. So bottom and side are intake? This seems like too much to be a airflow issue, but take of the large side glass off at idle and see what happens. This seems abnormally high, as I also have an NZXT Kraken Z63 280 mm AIO attached to my 4790K in my old build and the liquid temperatures stay sub to low-30s on a similar fan curve to the Balanced preset. I'm not sure whether Corsair is using a different type of coolant that heats up easier. On the Balanced preset, my CPU temps are pretty normal in the 30s - 40s while performing mundane tasks with occasional spikes to the 50s/60s. On my custom relaxed preset, it idles closer to the high 40s once the coolant heats up. It seems like these fans aren't very efficient at cooling the radiator, as I have to run them at max speed for 10 minutes or so to get the coolant temps down to the low 30s. If repairing iCUE does not resolve your issue, the next step is to see if your Elite Capellix is receiving power. If the fans are spinning, the pumps are running, and the LEDs are lit up, your Elite Capellix is receiving power. You may want to go to a manual fan curve. Even the quiet one will blast the fans at 40C and that is idle. If the interior temp is also 39C, there is nothing you can do with the fans to make it less. In setting fan speeds, this is much simpler as we can define the PWM control of the fan to be exactly 100% or exactly 50%, which is a precise measurement of the fan RPM with very minimal average fluctuation over time.Once your cooler is installed to your motherboard, it is time to connect the fans and pump to the iCUE Commander CORE. Yeah the Delta for gaming doesn't necessarily Alert me. FWIW I took the fan filters out and it did make around a 3 deg celsius improvement. Room temp is 71deg F or 22 deg celsius. So having an idle temp in the high 30s seems strange.
