If you have Windows 7 installed see thisarticle to obtain the latest USB 3.0 host controller driver Primary or Replace mode: The DisplayLink is the main Windows display. Replace mode extends primary mode by also disabling the laptop or tablet screen while connected to the DisplayLink device. This mode is used if wanting to use your laptop with the lid closed.

DisplayLink Manager app will introduce new elements/features like a graphical user interface shown in section 4.4. I have a problem with myHP Elitebook 745 G6 with AMD Chipset (AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 3500U w/Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx.) If using the DL-3900 or DL-5900, which supports dual outputs, resolutions above 2048x1152 will be unavailable if a second display is connected. If wanting to use the DL-3900 with resolutions above 2048x1152, disconnect the second display. Note: This tool applies to Microsoft Windows PC's only. This tool will detect HP PCs and HP printers.

There have been some instances of DisplayLink devices with a yellow "!" in device manager, and opening the properties shows that they have an error code 10. This has been either due to a faulty device, or due to a device with auto install (which are not supported as detailed below) and the DisplayLink video driver is trying to talk to the wrong interface putting it into an error state. There have been some instances of DisplayLink devices with a yellow "!" in device manager, and opening the properties shows that they have an error code 43. This is usually due to a driver fault. To fix this error we recommend trying the following steps: And I was even allowed to change the resolution up to the native resolution of the monitor (3840x2160px).

Please refer to this article about the system requirements and how to install on Android from the Google Play Store. It is possible to only mirror 2 displays using the windows interface. It is not possible to mirror more than 2 displays. If you want to mirror more than 2 displays, we recommend 3rd party display management tools, for example Actual Multiple Monitors. See this link for more information: Monitors which have DisplayPort Multi-stream Transport (MST) should have this feature disabled when used as MST is not currently supported. header with program version and a date used, followed by any warning or error found along with the message the end user would get. For most error messages, a link for more information is provided. Note that your laptop or tablet display will be re-enabled when the DisplayLink display is disconnected. Using the Windows Display interface I have previously been able to connect my Acer H277HK 4K(UHD) monitor as secondary monitor via the HDMI connection on the laptop. This used to work, although i always had to turn GPU scaling off and then on again for it to work. Passive cables and adapters do not have such a conversion chip built in. Instead they rely on the source to do the conversion. Unless the source has the ability to output analogue over DisplayPort or HDMI then an active adapter is required for VGA output.
