Some might only wish to be incontinent while wearing diapers. Hypnotically becoming conditionally incontinent is more difficult, just as it is with behavioral methods. In addition to training the mind and body to know when in diapers, the reflexes need to remain in place. Here hypnotic methods have one advantage - suggestions and affirmations can be reinforced when not wearing diapers. Have you wondered what it would be like to be diapered 24/7? To have accidents in the middle of the day? To drink out of a bottle every day? If you are in self quarantine mode, this can be the time to try it out. If you are normally anxious about wearing diapers throughout the day in case someone sees, it may be easier to do that now! If there are private things you don’t bring to work (like a pacifier) now you can have it with you all the time. One useful perspective is that of partial success. For example, if a diaper hypnosis file doesn't cause full incontinence, it might cause easier, more frequent wetting, or moderate overtrained bladders. Embracing partial successes might pave the way for more complete hypnotic success later on, or positive interactions with other methods.

Believing that one has no control is in many ways like not having control. Since many ABDLs would be trying hypnosis as a way to give up urinary and other forms of control, this would work to their advantage. Hypnosis might not need to remove capabilities, just make the ABDL believe that he or she can't use them. Often there is a sense that you have found something again that you have forgotten about. You re-discover a part of yourself that used to exist when you get into a nostalgic mood. Everyone has some longing for the past and for childhood. Some people want to dive deeper into their childhood. This might be one of the reasons you are drawn to ABDL hypnosis, and you may not even realize it. Assuming that the ability to enter a trance isn't a barrier, the subject should eventually see results that vary with their suggestibility. Some will see clear results early on and some will see few or no results even after weeks of trying. Being able to loss control of your bladder is generally easier, with or without hypnosis. With time, the less you hold in your bladder, the less control of it you have. You can un-train these muscles if you focus on it every day. The main obstacle is that most people hold in their bladder muscles automatically. Hypnosis really helps with this, helping you learn to release your bladder as soon as it’s full. The post hypnotic effects will remind your body to wet your diaper automatically, unconsciously. A more conservative file would assure the ABDL that it was necessary and good to wet any time and any place, and that he or she would progressively become incontinent, a little more every time they used a diaper or listened to the file. Behaviorally, the first item alone would result in an increasing habitual incontinence. Hypnotically, the decrease in control, however slight, would be evidence that the subject is actually loosing control. This believed success might increase one's belief in hypnosis, which might increase one's suggestibility. The two effects might amplify each other, and snowball. The ABDL might never be sure whether the incontinence was hypnotic, behavioral, or both; but might not care. Drink a lot of water and liquids. As you drink up feel how it is filling your bladder and feel how your bladder gets weaker and weaker. Start to tell yourself that you might not make it… get into the accident mindset. When your bladder starts to feel really full, start to potty dance. Get your body and mind into the state where you feel that you cannot stop yourself from having a bladder accident. Additionally, an ABDL seeking a sense of helpless risk might find hypnosis rewarding even if the files aren't even partially successful initially. They just need to believe that the file might suddenly 'get traction' and start working. On that note, don't listen to a file on the assumption that it won't work or will continue to not work.
