About this deal

You may see where I'm going with this, the reduced octave on the JF-12 might be comparable to that of the SF300, no? So if we can leave that but fix the bass response, it may sound like a Superfuzz, right? To my ear they are quite similar, mostly differing by frequency curve,

With the TC Electronic Sub ‘N’ Up Octaver you can turn your guitar tone into a ringing 12-string or just go crazy with a gigantic synth-style tone. All of this in a very compact unit that will take very little space in your pedalboard, but give you big sounds and options. Features This Joyo Octave Fuzz can compete with higher-end pedals like Big Muff in terms of reliability, effectiveness, and features. It has a great sound quality and is built like a tank, allowing for countless gigs and years of usage out of a budget-friendly product. It also has great electronics and internal components, so you can rest assured it won't suddenly stop working for any reason like other cheaper pedals do. Joyo is known for producing these reliable and durable pedals at great prices and they did not skip on this one. The case is bright green and features a toggle switch and three white knobs to control the pedal's parameters. This pedal also offers a wider range and greater polyphonic capabilities than the previous OC-2 and OC-3, while covering your octave needs in full. Joyo is constantly adding new ranges and products to its lineup of pedals. However, they have 3 main pedal series which have been around for a while now. These three ranges (or “series”) of pedals include the: The Donner Harmonic Square Octave is an octave and pitch shifter pedal that will work great with any six-string guitar, 4-string bass guitars, baritone guitar, etc. It offers three modes of operation. By using its toggle you can choose between Sharp, Detune, and Flat. Each of these delivers a different flavor of octave and lets you explore a myriad of sounds. For that reason, I’ll take a look at which pedals the Ironman series are clones, copies, originals or draw inspiration from other pedals. The major feature of this series is the pedals small size as well as the knob covers. The small size of these pedals makes them a fantastic addition to an already clustered or cramped pedalboard. I would desctibe the current sound as very Bassheavy, Muse like heavy/fuzz synth like tone, which I really like the Octave up gives an even more synth like feel.

Here we have yet another clone of a classic MXR pedal. This time we have the Joyo Dynamic Compressor which is a clone of the MXR Dyna Comp. The Dyna comp is one of my favorite pedals of all time with its simple design but awesome sound. This Joyo Compressor is also a rare example as being one of the few clone pedals to not be identically designed to the original. Joyo Compressor vs MXR Dyna CompBecause I know for sure that they are clones. And, I own as well as used extensively, these two series of pedals. Okay, I changed my mind. After much deliberation and debate with myself. I have decided to add the Ironman series of pedals to this Joyo pedal clone list. To mix in your direct signal, you can use the Dry knob and if you wish, you can also add up to + 14 dB of internally adjustable mid frequencies (400 Hz or 850 Hz) by engaging the Mid+ switch. The Mooer Pure Octave is a mini-size octave pedal with versatile blending options and a wide choice of octave modes. It comes with eleven different octave settings with up to five available octaves in a single setting. This pedal will easily fit in any pedalboard and stay there for a while thanks to its rugged metal chassis. A good choice for those with very limited space. Features Another useful new feature of the OC-5 is the octave-up effect, with can be used in both Vintage and Poly modes. You can crate octave-down effects for extended chord voicings, as well as unique solo tones, and even make your electric sound like a faux 12 string guitar. I believe that capacitors use a marker to indicate direction (a white stripe down the side?) and have their value marked on them. So IMO what would be really useful is an indication of where or which way that direction indicator should be, and what values should be where.

The only downside to the Ironman pedals is that they can’t run off a 9v battery. Only a power supply. Another thing I realized is that they’re a bit on the higher side in terms of price when compared to the 10 and 30 series. However, they definitely still fall into the budget category of pedals. For the pedals that are smaller versions of clones from other series, I haven’t written much of a review as they’ve been covered above in the 10 series and 30 series. There’s no doubt this Power supply 4 by Joyo is a clone of the Voodoo Labs PS. However, there seems to be quite a lot of confusion surrounding whether or not this Joyo is in face truly isolated. The Voodoo Labs power supply most certainly provides truly isolated outputs. And whilst this power Supply 4 claims to have isolated outputs. The consensus that I have heard is that this is not true isolation. However, this is not confirmed. If you’re wondering if this is still a good power supply, I would 100% say YES it is. Despite apparently not being truly isolated, I’ve yet to experience unbearable noise. So, for the price in compassion tot eh Voodoo labs it is hard to go wrong. If you’re the type of person obsessed with their power supply (no disrespect, I totally understand), then this is probably not the choice for as it might be worth forking out the extra for the Voodoo Labs. Joyo Power Supply 2 Clone Of Nothing If you want a snarling fuzz beast that adds another dimension to your riff with the Octave Up is engaged, look no further than the JOYO JF-12 Vodoo Octave Fuzz. This is a versatile pedal that was made for those that prefer a more vintage sound but that can be used in modern settings as well. Features Ocatve Fuzz pedals are a strange breed of fuzz. Distortion and Fuzz pedals create upper and lower octave harmonics as part of the distortion that you hear. An octave fuzz pedal doesn't create a pitch shifting effect, it emphasizes the octave frequency at the upper register (or lower in some cases). That's why you can hear the effect better on certain parts of the fret board better than others. The Joyo Voodoo Octave fuzz is NOT an Octavia clone but a clone of the Foxx Tone Machine. stevebar48 wrote:… having just bought a Voodoo Octave I would suggest that you get to know it before assuming that it needs modding to make it usable.

Joyo JF‌-12 Voodoo Octave Guitar Pedal Review (2023)

The voodoo octave is a cheap octazver/fuzz pedal made by Joyo. Fuzz, tone and volume knobs are pretty common, but there is a little mid cut switch to get a "Muffer" tone and a fat sound. There's also 2 footswitches : on/off and octave, which make it more polyvalent. Personally I don't hear a "real fuzz" like Fuzz Face or Maestro, it's more a high distorsion. Basically, it permits to get 4 different kind of tone : classical or mid-cut and both avaible with or without octave up ! And i won't talk about variations with the fuzz knob, that's pretty effective. The octave sound can't be activated without fuzz and adds an octave up. A famous sound heard in Hendrix or Neil Young's records, for simple riffs or legendary solos, but don't try with too complex chords or it will turn into a real mash !! The Donner Digital Octave guitar pedal is a solid and compact unit for those looking for a good budget option. It is one of the smallest guitar pedals in this list but offers flexibility and many features, making it an ideal candidate for those with tight pedalboards. Features

The Donner Digital Octave is one of the best octave pedals, especially if we consider its features, tiny size, and price. 3. Electro-Harmonix Micro Pog (Premium Option) This pedal offers a variety of sounds that can be useful in many contexts and styles. The tone of the octaves sounds as natural as possible for octaves that are clearly outside the reach of a standard guitar. Two octaves down produces a deep throaty sound that will require a larger speaker. Looking into the Joyo Wooden sound, it is very hard to find a pedal that this could be a clone of. The closest thing I can think of is the Boss Acoustic Simulator. However, this Wooden sound is its own unique pedal. Simulating the acoustic guitar is one of the hardest effects to get right. And Joyo has hit the nail on the head with this Acoustic Sim. Whilst Acoustic Simulators will of course never really sound like the real thing. This is about as close as it gets to achieving a well rounded acoustic tone from your electric guitar by the stomp of a switch. Ironman Amp Simulators
