You could think of the LG 34WN80C-B as essentially a scaled-down version of our favorite LG 34UC80-B, with a similar native resolution and design, but it adds a couple of things like USB-C connectivity (not found on its pricier cousin). Its 99 percent sRGB color gamut coverage and AMD FreeSync technology make the 34WN80C-B a better choice for game designers, as well as anyone who wants to get in a few rounds of gaming when they’re not working. The LG 34WN80C-B is a 34″ 3440×1440 ultrawide monitor with an IPS panel, which makes it ideal for productivity and entry-level color-critical work.

However, there are a few benefits to using a high refresh panel including more fluid and smooth visuals in fast-paced games. The pixel response time speed of the LG 34WN80C amounts to 5ms GtG (gray to gray pixel transition) when the ‘Faster’ overdrive mode is enabled. When it comes to productivity, a dual monitor setup seems to be an ideal solution. Both the monitor gives you the advantage of keeping the most-used apps and tools open to boost your productivity. However, the sheer number of wires and cables can be overwhelming. And it’s time you got yourself an ultrawide monitor to use several apps simultaneously and raise your productivity levels.

Regardless, video games will look great thanks to the monitor’s high resolution and vibrant colors! The connections are pretty standard and include a USB-C port, HDMI, DisplayPort, and a duo of USB-A ports. The only issue is that these ports are located in a hard-to-reach area behind the panel.

The resolution is 3440x1440 but my problem is everything looks a little blurry/off and the color is rather disappointing. Now, I know I know I should be getting more from this monitor because I have boot camp with Windows 10 installed and the difference is astounding. I'm getting high resolution almost retina quality with great color. Given that it’s not a gaming monitor, this is not surprising, though since FreeSync is royalty-free, including it wouldn’t have increased the monitor’s price.

Its predecessor, the LG 34UC79G-B has a resolution of 2,560 x 1,080 and a 21:9 aspect ratio, and at release, we loved it for those features. Things get better on the newer iteration. This 21:9 panel has a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440, which is the same resolution as its rivals like the Samsung C34F791 and Acer Predator x34, which cost almost double. Surprisingly, fast-paced games have smoother playability on the 60Hz LG 34UC80-B than competing 100Hz VA-panels with the same 3,440 x 1,440 resolutions, such as the Viotek GN34C as it doesn’t have much blur. However, there are few benefits in using a 100Hz panel including more fluid and smooth visuals on fast-paced games.Additionally, you get your hands on a gorgeous curved display that is further complemented by a sleek stand. It’s highly inflexible. You can rotate, swivel, and adjust its height as per your liking.
