About this deal

Non-con and Dub-con are standard in this webtoon in general, no matter which couple you see, so I won't beat the dead horse more than I have to. The worst thing this series does is put a very standard BL couple in the middle of the other story lines, and another omega with a much more deeply messed up personality in a much more sensical similar narrative to the first couple. From a family who are mostly composed of Alphas yet Dojin disagrees with the assessment that such a family is incredible because of that. He is also the lead singer in a band named "Distortion" which is his current occupation. Attending a friend's party he would later contemplate this as a bad choice because Omegas were also invited to that party. Dojin saw his friend, the one who hosted the party, debating with Hye-sung that he looked like an Omega. He thought that his friend was pathetic for being unable to differentiate pheromones like he can. Dojin later came across Hye-sung in the comfort room and he smelled him. Disgusted, Park released his own pheromones to counteract Hye-sung's. Dojin does not feel what he sees as a heat cycle and adds what Hye-sung is experiencing is his problem. Nevertheless, he pulls Hye-sung away when he is approaching other guests and takes him home out of concern to rest. The next day Dojin thought he will never see Hye-sung again after walking out from him that morning. At a concert where Dojin performs, he finds and asks Hye-sung why he walked out on the person who offered him kindness. He is currently 27 years old [2]. He was born on November 2 [3]. Height: 185cm. Weight: roughly 81kg. Zodiac Sign: Scorpio I would not be this frustrated about this one little detail if it weren't for the fact that I seriously loved EVERY OTHER ASPECT OF THIS MANHUA. Everything else I loved. I enjoyed the characters, the world building, the story lines to an extent. I just feel like if at least the mistakes of the main alpha stayed in the beginning of the story, I could get over it, but when he repeated the same mistake he had already made I lost faith in him as a character and felt so increadibly let down.

Surprisingly Mature Ending: Hyesung doesn't forgive either of his parents. He completely shuts his dad out, and he decides to talk with his mom but decides not to forgive her in the end after hearing her out. They don't villainize the mom either, they try to paint her in a more morally grey light. Our parents aren't expected to be perfect role models, but we don't have to forgive them either. I like it. the marriage scene between the first couple, where it's quite late in their relationship and have decided to stay together for the baby or Hye-sung will quite literally die. Hye-sung rejected Dojin the first time, because he didn't feel ready (being married at age 20 is very odd in Korea, its too young in your career to be worth considering unless you are lined up to marry by your parents or you're already well off,) but has second doubts on what marriage is when he sees the relationship between Dojin's parents, and worries for answering that question in Byul's future. Which is a fair assessment. The issue is this all happens within one short chapter, and every step of the way to it reads like sandpaper. Hye-sung's marriage preposal isn't really a preposal, he's again doing this just because Dojin wants to, and for Byul, while Dojin talks to him like he's someone he met at a work function and they're now sharing drinks at a bar. And so it continues on the same. You do very briefly get to see a glimpse of what could be with Dojin putting on the wedding dress and his dialogue after, but it's outweighed by the other sixty chapters to reach that point. Hye-sung and the BFF were honestly the most annoying parts for me. There is only so much Hye-sung’s “stupidity” could be used as an excuse for some of the frustrating choices he made through this book. The only likable characters here were Dojin’s family and sadly we don’t see them often enough to make reading this series enjoyable.

Their baby: Byul's cute. I like the detail that Hyesung's name means Comet and Byul's name means Star. Probably not a coincidence that I tolerate the main couple the most when the focus shifts onto Byul. So that's that. A review and a rant about this manhua. I would recommend it to people who don't have a problem with the dubious consent/sexual assult aspects and can over look it for the otherwise cuteness and interesting storyline.

Dojin was a bit better at the end, but he was controlling, manipulative, rude protagonist who took advantage of someone in heat and then basically used their bad position in life to hold them there. This quote about the concept of love always bugs me and reading this makes me feel like it is the most elusive concept in the human history. Let me tell you a little bit about what I think love is. Look at that cover. Don't they look like a sweet and loving couple? Ha ha. Banish that thought from your mind. Maybe they eventually turn into that, I don't know, but their relationship in this first volume is nothing but rape and resentment.I know we all have got our stories, but I have a feeling that a great majority of people who put themselves out there in any kind of relationship end up experiencing heartbreak at one time in their lives. Some people call it the analogy of kissing several frogs before you meet another frog that may as well dump you. We have all had our hearts broken sometime or we may have broken some other people’s hearts and if you haven’t yet had your heart broken well, I don’t mean to be the prophet of doom but it’s definitely going to happen. But the good thing is, there is always something called getting over it. It is a hard thing to do but until you experience it, you will die believing in the illusion of perfect love. A great author once said that “love can sometimes be magic but magic can sometimes just be an illusion.” You only see the illusion once you fall out of love and not when you are in love: that is the ugly truth. Love is a temporary madness, it erupts like volcanoes and then subsides. And when it subsides, you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion, it is not the desire to mate every second minute of the day, and it is not lying awake at night imagining that he is kissing every cranny of your body. No, don’t blush, I am telling you some truths. That is just being “in love”, which any fool can do. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident.” ~ Louis de Bernières Dojin is a singer in a popular band and comes from a wealthy family composed almost entirely of Alphas. Due to his family constantly pressuring him to pair up with an Omega, he hates Omegas and only has sex with Betas or other Alphas. Until he meets Hye-sung. For some reason, having sex with Hye-sung inspires him to write incredible songs. Too bad Hye-sung resents Dojin for making him realize he's an Omega. Hye-sung spent his entire life believing he was an Alpha, the top of the genetic lottery. But his world is flipped upside down when he finds out he isn’t a proud Alpha, but a lowly Omega. After this revelation, he continuously crosses paths with Dojin, an Alpha who can’t stand Omegas. When their physical union results in a life-changing event, the two men's hot-and-cold relationship is put to the ultimate test The story. There was an attempt, but there's really nothing to grasp on. There were some potential bits like Hyesung actually being really good at math to the point of being a prodigy, but it doesn't amount to anything interesting. When you think about it, not much really happens in the story.
