There are three buttons on this device. There is the main physical button above the screen, which acts as a fire button, an on/off button, and a menu button. There are also up and down arrow touch buttons below the screen. The device is button activated, so there’s no auto-draw activation. The Vaporesso Luxe XR Max vape kit is a robust yet compact sub-ohm vape, designed with portability in mind. Its 2800mAh built-in battery supports plenty of vaping before needing to be recharged and thanks to the variable 5-80W power output, you can choose a level of vapour that suits you. It also means that while the included GTX coils can support DTL (Direct To Lung) and RDTL (Restricted Direct To Lung) vaping, the kit also works with MTL (Mouth To Lung) coils from the same range. The internal battery is listed at 2800 mAh, and they list the charge rate at 2A. The charging port is USB-C, and it’s located at the bottom of the device, so it has to lay down while charging. Not a big deal, but I prefer devices that can stand up while charging.

The availability of decent-sized pods and having been happy with the couple of XROS devices I already have and Vaporesso's rightly-earned reputation for well-made kit with excellent flavour were a large part of my decision to buy this one. The large battery capacity was also something that attracted me as I'm a heavy vaper and don't get anything like all day out of the 1000mAH or 1200mAH batteries on my other devices, meaning I need to carry more than one vape with me when I'm out of the house for any significant time and I also have to take a bottle of juice with me as I don't get even 2 hours' vaping out of a 2ml pod. I think the current laws regarding pod/tank capacity and the 10ml bottle size limit if it contains nicotine are utterly ridiculous but I digress. If you’re filling the pod with a new coil let E-liquid soak into the cotton for around five minutes before vaping. How To Operate Secondly, the connector itself isn’t recessed enough for my personal liking. The first being that I don’t like charging devices horizontally. My OCD always calls for the pod to be removed for fear of drying the cotton or potential leaking issues. Vaporessonever fail to impress when it comes to the design of their devices and the brandnew LUXE XR Maxkit is no different. Offering 7gorgeous colours there is certainly something for everyone, the only hard part is deciding which you like the look of most Fit for Luxe X 0.4Ω/0.8Ω Pod, Luxe XR RDL/MTL Pod, GTX 0.4Ω/0.6Ω Coil (RDL), GTX 0.8Ω/1.2Ω Coil (MTL) RDL is the difference of breathing through a small straw instead of a loo roll centre if that makes sense? Each to their own, and I enjoy each style for their own reasons, MTL is lower power, produces little vapour and tends to use higher nicotine %/mg, DL is more for clouds and since you draw more vapour in (and out), you require a lower nicotine %/mg, RDL is a nice middle ground with a balance between the two, and I tend to vape this way when I want to limit the amount of vape clouds (indoors or in public spaces). These GTX mesh coils will take some beating when it comes to flavour and cloud production. It was already a great alternative for disposable users, but this version makes it even better as the pod is reusable as you only replace the coil making it much less wasteful. Please note: It’s best to replace a coil when E-liquid levels are at a bare minimum. It can get a bit messy otherwise! Minimum operations are applied to meet the max 80W power and provide an enjoyable experience for starters.

Yet positioning the toggle mid way made a huge difference. Airflow restriction increases to around 50% and a direct lung vape is instantly replaced by a semi restrictive one. Taking the LUXE XR for what it is,a simple to use compact yet powerful pod, then it’s difficult to find any actual cons.There are maybe a few things that some might find off-putting, such as no auto-draw, bottom filling, and only two airflow options, but these factors didn’t affect my overall opinion of the Luxe XR, only you can decide but hopefully you can find the info you need in the review. The Strawberry Jam oozes all the warm, sweet properties I would expect – then amplifies them. Very impressive stuff.
