About this deal

Some inflators have 12V ports so they can effectively be used as an extension lead that connects other accessories to your car’s power. If your car isn’t fitted with a USB port, it’s useful to have a tyre inflator with this feature so that you can charge a tablet or smartphone on the road. I am not going to write here whether you need a tyre inflator or not. It is your choice. But for those who want one, I feel that they will more or less identify themselves with my experiences. We compared the tyre pressure shown on the digital display with our onboard TPMS and they both displayed the same value, so seems accurate. Despite the fact this is only a one day of experience, I feel reasonably confident that it will work better and longer than my previous ones. Cross my fingers and pray. Anyway, I will tell you the reasons for my optimism.

If you really like the small size of this mini compressor, that’s the only thing that makes it stand out from other inflators. I’m not sure that’s going to be enough to sway many people into buying this, but here’s the price link if you’re interested: If you want to be equipped for every flat tyre eventuality, the VonHaus Cordless Tyre Inflator has you covered. It will run for up to ten minutes from the supplied 1.5A lithium-ion battery, but if you forget to charge it you can always switch to the bundled 12V adaptor, which comes with an unusually generous 3.5m cable. It has a small, but still readable, digital pressure meter. And you can just set your desired pressure, pull the trigger and let it go to work: it will stop when it reaches the right level. All in all, this is one of the best inflators we’ve seen, but it does have a chunky price tag to match: f. Auto cut off (it tries 3-4 times at the end for accuracy at the end, due to sensor) is a big relief. Combined with the non-walk character, you can leave it to its work and attend to other jobs on the car. It just switches off at the pre-set pressure that you feed in. It also remembers this for the next time. The Rapid Tyre Inflator (12262) from Michelin is one of their range of digital tyre pumps. Michelin are obviously well known for their production of Tyres so they can't be too bad at making tyre inflators too!? The digital display allows you to switch between PSI, Bar and KPa, once attached to a tyre you will get a readout on the digital display giving you the current tyre pressure.c. My Grand I-10 & I-10 tyres were at 27-28 psi and one of the tyres of my Ford Endeavour was at 22 psi. It took a few seconds for small car tyres and less than 2-3 minutes for the big ones to reach the recommended pressure. Even the hose did not heat up till I went to my sixth or seventh tyre. I kept trying on our neighbours' cars and even after six cars (x4 tyres each) the body did not show any traces of heat. The noise did not change. In all honesty, as we said about the 12266 edition, we can’t see a lot of people needing that 12V power outlet on the inflator itself, but maybe there’s something we’re not considering. Tyre pressures are typically between 30psi and 40psi (or 2 bar and 2.8 bar). How to test your tyre pressure A final added extra that’s well thought out on this Michelin pump is the instructions for use that are printed on the rear of the unit. The chances of having the instructions with you when you break down vary from person to person (in my case they’d likely be in the garage at home!) so knowing they’re always with the pump offers a little extra peace of mind. It's very simple to use, just follow the instructions and you're set. The connector is great, easy to screw in and it ensures a seal and consequently fast infla tion. I haven't inflated a really soft tyre but I've been topping up my tyres each month and I love the simplicity of the set up and the convenience. I can see why Michelin would put its name to this. To inflate a tyre simply set your required value, screw the connector to the valve and switch on, once it reaches the request pressure it will automatically shut off. style>
