If your butane lighter is not working after being refilled with fuel, there are a few potential causes. When inserting your refill valve, slight agitation around its circumference may be needed with a razor so as not to damage any wiring present in the interior area of your Bic lighter. Some fire lighters are better than others in that regard. And offer different kinds of waterproof levels, resistance to the elements plus many other factors. If you use lighters excessively and need to replace them, you should consider purchasing a refillable lighter.
