About this deal

When we sit at a desk all day long, our hip flexors get incredibly tight and weak since we rarely perform movements that use them. Being able to save space and money is of high-priority for many home gym owners. Enter MonkeyFeet. MonkeyFeet, developed by Animalhouse Fitness, is a patented, ratchet-based shoe attachment designed to securely hold a standard dumbbell weighing up to 160 pounds. This unique design is the only method to-date that allows athletes to lift dumbbells with their feet just as they would with their hands. In doing so, it opens the door to dozens of leg and core training movements usually reserved for machines. If you have a midtarsal break, the fold in your foot will pinch the sand upward. Look for a small ridge in the upper-mid portion of your footprint.

Because of the location of the weight, your quads are forced to engage throughout the entire movement, and the entire front side of your upper leg is in overdrive when you’re lowering the weight. Great for calisthenics. Doing lower body workouts with just your bodyweight will eventually leave you behind in terms of strength, muscle definition, and hypertrophy. But with the Monkey Feet, you can consistently improve your leg strength with calisthenics without feeling like you have to play catch-up. Certain calisthenic skill progressions, like the L-Sit and V-Sit, can also be improved with Monkey Feet. Doing these supine leg raises combined with the knee raises is one absolutely brutal assault on your hip flexors! 7. Supine Leg Extension One AnimalHouse MonkeyFeet attachment weighs a mere 1.2 pounds. While we don’t know its exact dimensions, you can rest assured that it’s pretty compact when not loaded with a dumbbell. For reference, we’d say it’s about the same size as a woman’s ankle boot. MaterialsAgain, although MonkeyFeet work okay, the current market seems to have passed them by, as there’s now other products that do a superior job. Can You Do Tib Raises With MonkeyFeet? Saves space. The convenience of the Monkey Feet is great. It’s a small, lightweight item, and when you’re done with it just move it out of the way. If you wanted to do really heavy hanging knee raises, there’s actually no better way than to strap weights to your feet! Monkey Feet work by attaching dumbbells to your feet to perform exercises, and it goes without saying that you need dumbbells. Not only do you need dumbbells, but there are also some limiting factors that means not every dumbbell will work.

A midtarsal break, also known as floppy feet, tend to occur in people with flatter feet and higher body mass indexes than people with stiffer feet. They also tend to roll their feet more, causing a motion called hyperpronation (they land on the outside of their feet and roll dramatically inward). This allows for the foot to relax its joints and ligaments, creating a midtarsal break. What are Prehensile Feet? Individuals who don’t do a lot of traditional strength training won’t have much use for an AnimalHouse MonkeyFeet attachment. This product isn’t the same as an ankle weightyou can wear for walkingor running and isn’t designed for high-impact, dynamicworkouts. Anyone training through an injurywho can’t use loaded barbells for lower body exercises can keep up with their lower body training with AnimalHouse MonkeyFeet. If you train at a commercial gymwith a wide selection of selectorized and plate-loaded machines, you likely won’t need AnimalHouse MonkeyFeet since you can use the machines to isolate your lower body muscle groups. You can do MOST of the above with a single Monkey Foot. Just switch shoes when you want to hit the other side. So if you’re interested in becoming a freak athlete, you should be collecting as many glute exercises as possible! 15. Tib Raise Now we’re starting to get into the slightly more esoteric domain of sports performance with some advanced movements you won’t often see. The dumbbell handle must be at least 127mm in length for the MF to clamp onto it – unless you’re using the tiniest dumbbells in the world, I don’t think you’ll ever have any issues with this.
