Description

Starting with the Banker, each player in turn throws the dice. The player with the highest total starts the play. Place your token on the corner marked "GO", then throw the dice and move your token (in the direction of the arrow) the number of spaces indicated by the dice. The equipment consists of a board, 2 dice, tokens, 32 houses and 12 Hotels. There are 16 Chance and 16 Community Chest cards, 28 Title Deed cards (one for each property), and play money. Starting with the bonus games, located at the top of the scratchcard, find a ‘crossed fingers’ symbol in one or more of the bonus games, to win the corresponding prize (s). In this short game, it is necessary to have only three houses (instead of four) on each lot of a complete colour-group before the player may buy a hotel. If you wish, you can experiment at playing Monopoly by starting with more or less money than usual, although I wouldn’t recommend this.

The amount of money in a Monopoly set doesn’t actually matter that much. According to the official Monopoly rules, the bank can never ‘go broke’. If the bank runs out of cash, you can make more by writing on pieces of paper to continue the game. The object of the g ame is to become the wealthiest player through buying, renting and selling of property. I went into the options and turned off all the animations and sped the token movement up to max. Doing that makes an entire game playable in about 10-15 minutes if you let the computer roll its own dice (but see below). Choosing to "save as default" in the options will save the changes permanently in a secret file that Internet Archive maintains for you. That's awesome, but I haven't been able to figure out how to undo it if you make a mistake, so proceed carefully. In the GAME 1, in one or more of the 10 columns, find two identical symbols to win the corresponding prize. If you find two ‘DOUBLE’ symbols, then you win double the corresponding prize. The Speed Die was introduced to the Standard Edition of Monopoly in 2007 to make the game faster. Speed Die Monopoly has several different rules – one of which is how much money each player starts with. The Premium Play feature disables all paylines, removes low-value symbols, and increases the number and landing frequency of premium symbols, such as GO, Mr Monopoly, and Cash symbols. Buy Feature When the Bank has no houses to sell, players wishing to build must wait for some player to return or sell their houses to the Bank before building. If there are a limited number of houses and hotels available and two or more players wish to buy more than the Bank has, the houses or hotels must be sold at auction to the highest bidder. Any player, including the one who declined the option to buy it at the printed price, may bid. Bidding may start at any price.

In each country’s version of Monopoly, players will receive the same amount of starting money in the same denomination of notes. The only difference is that the Monopoly money will be called dollars, pounds, Euros, or whatever the currency is of the country in question. Older versions of Monopoly will have currencies like French Francs or Spanish Pesetas. If you throw doubles, you move your token as usual, the sum of the two dice, and are subject to any privileges or penalties pertaining to the space on which you land. Retaining the dice, throw again and move your token as before. If you throw doubles three times in succession, move your token immediately to the space marked "In Jail". Whenever you land on an unowned property you may buy that property from the Bank at its printed price. You receive the Title Deed card showing ownership. Place the title deed card face up in front of you. If you do not wish to buy the property, the Bank sells it at through an auction to the highest bidder. The high bidder pays the Bank the amount of the bid in cash and receives the Title Deed card for that property. Throwing doubles on any of your next three turns, if you succeed in doing this you immediately move forward the number of spaces shown by your doubles throw. Even though you had thrown doubles, you do not take another turn.I've bought, owned, and played MANY different versions of Monopoly for PC. But, this one is the BEST BY FAR. Sure, it doesn't have all of the eye-candy of the newer incarnations of the game, but it has a *LOT* more features... and much better gameplay IM(NotSo)HO.
