There is just something about nuns that turns a lot of guys on. Maybe it's the mystery of it all. After all, they wear the elaborate robes and live in secret, away from men. Maybe it's the Forbidden Fruit factor: you cannot have them, so, ironically, they become more appealing.

The French Céline Dion song "La Religieuse" ("The Nun") describes the internal conflict of a nun tortured by her memories of a life of passion.

Perhaps this isn’t all that surprising because there is something about a sexy nun, isn’t there? I’ve seen many “sexy nun” outfits around Halloween but struggle to recall anyone dressing as a “sexy priest”. Apart from the “Hot Priest” in Fleabag, obviously, and Friar F**k (who featured in the classic porn parody Thobbin’ Hood), there isn’t much in the way of sexy religious men. But the fantasy of a nun gone bad is so common it can be ranked alongside sexy secretary or the naughty nurse. Knight Carim, Sister Schach, and later, Sein, Otto and Deed, of the Belkan Saint Church fill the Moe nun quota, though their habits are pretty modest. On the other hand, Sister Schach's battle armor consists of a sleeveless top, hotpants and pretty good Zettai Ryouiki. Because no one can apparently leave women alone for a single second, cinema has a long and torrid fascination with nuns in compromising positions.

Cage of Trash of the Count's Family openly flirts with the protagonist, fights, swears, and drinks. She gets away with it for a while because she's a favored priestess of the God of Death. In the 1974 film Seijû gakuen aka School of the Holy Beast, the 'convent' is run much like a school for wayward girls, including the typical girl-on-girl catfight. They seem to find themselves getting into and out of their habits with alarming frequency due to their constant showering and friendly experimentation, though they do engage in more nun-like activities from time to time, such as praying, scrubbing floors and whipping newcomers with thorned roses to keep it spicy.
