If it works for you, that’s great. It’s such a beefy chain that most thieves aren’t even going to try to mess with it.

At the moment Kryptonite make two versions of the Kryptolok. The Series 2 is the original and is rated Sold Secure Silver. The New-Uis well, new(!) and is Sold Secure Gold. You'll have to come with a different way to protect your wheels, but there's load of options and at least your bike will be safe!

We would always recommend shopping around as you can usually level up on the Sold Secure rating for similar pricing if not a bit more, for added protection. That said, thieves are unlikely to carry the largest 36″ or 42″ bolt cutters on the street, as they’re next to impossible to conceal.

Secondly, because you can wrap them around your seat post or top bar, they can be easier to transport.
