Solphim still has solid power and toughness for its mana value even outside its abilities, making it an all-around great creature. #1. Karumonix, the Rat King

Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold has some pretty interesting synergy with its own abilities. It can create a decent number of tokens, and then buff them all up. Atraxa, Grand Unifier might not be as powerful as the character’s last incarnation, but it can likely still be a fun commander. This Atraxa almost has a classic Elder Dragon Highlander feel thanks to flying and seven power. I’m not sad that the card is gated so that triggers only once per turn. While I know some games need to finish and I’m good with playing Blood Artist to that end, it’s also okay to have something a little less threatening. We’re still going to dish out some life loss and gain some, too. Skrelv, Defector Mite is an incredibly cheap commander, allowing you to easily drop it turn 1 and start dealing out poison counters on subsequent early turns. Even if you just manage to get a single counter on each enemy, you can then rely on proliferate abilities from cards like Throne of Geth or Karn's Bastion to put pressure on them. The card that keeps on giving, Contaminant Grafter lets us proliferate if any of our creatures hit (only once per combat, no matter how many creatures hit how many players). It has trample and toxic 1, so there are going to be things to proliferate. But the card isn’t done. At the beginning of our end step, if an opponent has three or more poison counters, we can draw a card and then put a land—any land—onto the battlefield (which doesn’t have to be the one we drew). These traditional foil promo cards will be available while supplies last at WPN game store Prerelease Events for Phyrexia: All Will Be One. Find your local game store and register for your Prerelease in advance to learn how your store's promo cards will be distributed. One of the cards that I think is going to have the biggest impact on the format, Clever Concealment has some folks calling it the next Teferi’s Protection. I won’t go that far, but it’s quite strong. Because it has convoke and our creatures can help pay the mana cost, we can be tapped out mana-wise and still cast the spell. We just need four untapped creatures (with two of them being some flavor of white). From there, we can phase out any number of nonland permanents we control. Our lands, and more importantly our life total, are not protected.

The only real downside is that its ability exiles cards, so you need to be okay with a bit of risk when playing it. #21. Zopandrel, Dominus of HungerIxhel - Taste THIS Poison Paradise Ixhel - Taste THIS Poison Paradise Ixhel - Taste THIS Poison Paradise Adriana, Captain of the Guard is one of the reprints in this set. It isn’t currently a very popular commander, and that’s likely because melee isn’t the most powerful mechanic to build around. But he’s not alone, of course. Jawbone Duelist is in here, as Double Strike wears buffs incredibly well — and its power against players is effectively doubled since you only need ten poison counters to win. Toxic isn’t like infect, so the buffs don’t affect how many poison counters an opponent gets, but the double strike still means that each hit gives a counter. Mondrak, Glory Dominus is a great commander because it’s basically a Anointed Procession that you can run as your commander. It’s easy to have Mondrak be indestructible and that much harder for opponents to get rid of it if you play it at the right time. Venser, Corpse Puppet gives you a good bit of value for only two mana. Its toxic ability makes up for its low power, and you don’t need to hit your opponents too many times since you’re building around proliferate.

Common or uncommon with the ichor treatment – Cards with the ichor treatment feature brushstroke horror art. There are 6 commons (63%) and 7 uncommons (37%) that can be found in non-foil in this slot. I think it’s easy to get tied up on the triggered ability, but I’m staring right at the 4/4 for three mana with trample and toxic 1.

Koth

I think Otharri could make a pretty good aggro commander, and it’s in an interesting tribe that doesn’t get as much love as humans or elves. #13. Ria Ivor, Bane of Bladehold Gruul ( ) isn’t necessarily the greatest color combination for blink or proliferate, so it’s difficult to get much out of Migloz besides the oil counters it starts with. Its effects also mostly target itself, so it’s too self-focused to be a super effective commander. #30. Glissa Sunslayer There are no big haymakers (save maybe Vraska), and we aren’t trying to do anything all that flashy. What we do have is inevitability, so we are just asking if our opponent can stop us before we cast enough spells to kill them. Compleation
