About this deal

I am looking for something that i can use to power Google WiFi on a Ceiling where no plug is available. looks like your product will do it. Presently have a 802.3.at powered access point installed and want to replace it with Google WiFi. Google WiFi needs a lan connection and a USB-C for power since it is not PoE. Will your product accomplish this? There are currently 4 types of standardized PoE: Types 1, 2, 3 and 4. The different types of PoE have to do with the amount of power they can supply to a device. As the power demands have grown over the years, PoE technology has had to adapt to meet the demands.

802.3af PoE to USB Splitter with Gigabit Data on RJ45 Output

Yes, this splitter will work with 802.3af passive PoE. This splitter requires an input voltage of 44-56 volts, so it is not compatible with 24V passive PoE. Yes, you can use this USB-C splitter to power the new Nestcam indoor and outdoor units. For more information, see our blog on USB-C.

Customer reviews

Yes, using the GAT-USBC splitter with your Netgear GS305P will work to provide the required 5 volts, 9 watts to your Google Wifi. Is it possible to use a Netgear GS305P to run two Google Wi-Fi units off two of your GAT-USBC splitters? Looks like a good product. There are a few different types of power sourcing equipment (PSE) that can add PoE to your network. Here are some of the ways you can set up PoE to power your devices through an Ethernet cable: PoE injector Is this model suitable for a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.2? That's the newer version with the fix provided on the USB C power inlet. No, the output female RJ45 port only provides data out, not power. Power is only provided on the female USB-C output.

Ubiquiti Gigabit PoE to USB Passive Adapter - Scan

Yes, according to the specs, the Pi 4 v1.2 is compatible with the 5V3A profile of the GAT-USBC-REV2. Have you tested this with POE switches from Cisco (802.3.at supported) to power Nest IQ Outdoor cameras? If you already have a regular network switch, you don’t need to run out and buy a new PoE switch to replace it. Instead, you can consider a PoE injector, also known as a midspan, for adding PoE capabilities between the network switch and a PoE device.

PoE to USB Power Supply - SPX-18709 - SparkFun Electronics

Most schools and businesses have network cables installed already, so it makes sense to use a solution like PoE that can utilize your existing infrastructure. It can be difficult to get a wall-wart where you need it. The promise of PoE (power over ethernet) is great, but what if your device doesn't use ethernet? Perhaps you could mess with power injectors, but what if you've already got PoE available on your network? The PoE to USB Power Supply is like a USB wall wart for PoE. Get a PoE hub, run ethernet wherever you need it, plug the PoE to USB Power Supply in and you'll have 5V at 1A via a USB A connector. Many of the first solutions involved directly injecting power into an Ethernet cable with no safety measures in the event that you accidentally plugged in a device not meant to receive power. The risks involved were frying your devices, in the best case scenario, and possibly sparking a fire, in the worst case scenario. For a PoE to USB-C solution with power + data, please see our GAT-USBC-PD or GAT- USBC-PD-REV2. The Rev2 is compatible with the iPad Pro Gen3, Microsoft Surface Go, Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, and Google Pixel phones. Our Rev1 will work with Microsoft Surface Go and Samsung Galaxy Tab Active. Many were hard at work to create a solution, but in the end, Cisco was the first to create successful PoE although it was proprietary technology, meaning it was only used internally for Cisco’s own needs. An interesting use of PoE to keep an eye on is PoE lighting. PoE can be used to power LED lights, which are rapidly growing in popularity due to their energy-saving capacity compared to old fluorescent lights. By connecting LED lights with Ethernet, it is possible to create a smart lighting environment. Is this splitter compatible with the new iPad Pro 12.9" Gen 3? I'm using a Ubiquiti Edgeswitch PoE+ switch. When hooked up to the iPad the charge symbol goes on an off and never fully charges.
