Win: One of the notable features of this dehumidifier is its rechargeable capability. It can be easily recharged using a USB cable, eliminating the need for batteries or power cords. The dehumidifier also features an indicator window that changes colour to indicate when it needs to be recharged. The Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy Dehumidifier is a pretty affordable compressor dehumidifier as these things go, which is reflected in its rather basic design. Of course, the Meaco removes a lot more moisture than the Pro Breeze. There is also no option to automatically switch off when humidity reaches a certain level, so you’ll need to control it manually. But if you need an energy efficient dehumidifier, the Pro Breeze uses minimal power. Alternatively, high humidity can promote mould and mildew growth, thus acting as breeding grounds for fungi, germs, and bacteria so harmful to your health. Overexposure to high humidity might also lead to such health problems as dehydration, muscle cramps, and others. It’s even light when it’s full of water, so if you need to move the unit before emptying it then this is easier done that with most units.

Additional Features: Consider the extra bells and whistles that enhance user experience. These may include programmable timers, digital displays, adjustable humidity settings, auto-shutoff when the water tank is full, or even a built-in air purifier for improved air quality. As the Pro Breeze doesn’t have a built-in humidistat, you can’t set a target humidity like on more expensive models. While a humidistat is a useful feature, the slow extraction rate and low energy consumption makes it less of an issue on peltier models. Next, the manufacturer guarantees that this model meets all the safety standards and provides the required certification. It is one of the safest units on this list, so you can leave it on even without supervision. Portability on Point: Ever needed to shift your dehumidifier from one room to another? Small dehumidifiers are a breeze to move around! With their lightweight construction and convenient handles or casters, you can effortlessly transport them wherever the humidity battle rages. From living rooms to laundry areas, garages to gyms, your trusty companion can travel with you! Despite its compact size, it's also heavy. And whilst it does have a carry handle and castors, you’re not going to want to move it around too much.

Peltier technology might not be as effective as a compressor, but it’s certainly quieter (although not silent). If you need a dehumidifier that’s suitable for working environments, or that won’t interrupt the TV, the Pro Breeze is an option to consider. For comparison, at current energy costs, the 12L MeacoDry Arete One Dehumidifier uses around 4p of electricity per hour, and the Pro Breeze 12L Low Energy dehumidifier uses roughly 6p per hour. Not a massive difference in running costs, but worth bearing in mind before you snap up this dehumidifier purely based on its low energy claims. Noise levels In terms of quality, the Pro Breeze is no slouch either. It is solidly built and it has all the necessary features including auto shut off ensuring convenience and safety of use. Thus, if you need a safe mini dehumidifier, the Pro Breeze can be a solid investment. It’s worth pointing out that the “500ml” in the PB-02’s name refers to the size of its water tank, not the daily maximum extraction rate. The actual extraction rate is 250ml per day. On the plus side, the simplicity makes it easy to use. There’s no need to mess with settings or modes – just switch it on and leave it. Pro Breeze has also designed the water tank to be straightforward to remove, with a plug to prevent spillages.

Interestingly, ProBreeze measures this units noise levels as 40dB – fairly high compared to many dehumidifiers we've tested – however, it's the type of noise as well as the volume that dictates how intrusive an appliance's noise is, and I found the ProBreeze 1500ml Mini dehumidifier particularly quiet in comparison to most. PortabilityOnce you've removed it, it's important to regularly clean out the water tank to ensure that you don’t have a build-up of deposits. It can be washed in warm soapy water, just be sure to fully dry the water tank before replacing it in the machine, especially if you’re not going to use the dehumidifier for a while so that you don’t get any mould. However, its all-white casing means it’ll effortlessly fit in with most decors, and its honeycomb-style front grill adds a little style. It measures H44 x W30 x D22cm, so it’s also compact enough not to take up too much space. The ProBreeze 1500ml Mini Dehumidifier is a very basic design, but if you'd rather not faff around with multiple functions and Wi-Fi connectivity then that might be part of its appeal.

The last but definitely not the least thing to consider is the convenience of use. High-end units often come fitted with different indicators, audible notifications, and safety features. A lmost all modern dehumidifiers have a shut-off function that automatically turns the device down once its water tank is full. If you're going to install a unit in a bedroom, we highly recommend you turn your attention to the models that use Peltier modules instead of noisy compressors. They operate quietly and won't disturb your sleep. There are a couple of complaints, similar to mine, regarding its noise levels, stating that it’s not quiet even when on its lowest fan setting, and certainly not in night mode, or on a high fan speed setting.Obviously, it doesn't have a big water tank capacity, meaning you might need to empty it several times a day if you're going to use it extensively. However, it is still more than enough for small spaces, capable of removing up to 250 ml of water per day on average. Plus, it weighs just a bit more than 1 kilo, so you will be able to carry it from one location to another with no problems. However, considering its weight, I found the handle felt quite flimsy. I didn't entirely trust it would support the weight of the dehumidifier if carried by this alone. Removes Moisture: Perfect for removing damp, mould and moisture from your home, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, caravan, garage or basement. This model features excellent performance metrics for the price paid. It can extract up to 250ml per day of water from the air, similar to other mini dehumidifiers. It has a 500ml water tank which is similar to most other mini dehumidifiers. This means you will have to empty the water tank roughly every 2-3 days making it remarkably low maintenance. As this is the smallest Pro Breeze model, we recommend it for smaller jobs such as bedrooms and storage spaces.
