Description

First, crush an aspirin tablet with a pill crusher. Make sure to crush it with enough pressure so that it breaks down into powder. You can also smash the tablet with a hammer and then mix it into the water. Next, dip the cuttings into the aspirin mixture to accelerate the rooting process. Make sure to submerge the cuttings in the aspirin solution for two to three hours before transferring to the next step. When using rooting hormone powder all you need to do is dip your cuttings into water which will allow the powder to seal the cut area. Then you can pour some powder into a separate bowl or plate to avoid contamination. All you need to do is remove some side shoots from your mother plant using a sharp blade (preferably a scalpel). Make sure that the cut is at an angle and use sterile equipment to reduce the likelihood of infection. Open your Clonex bottle and pour some of the rooting gel into a separate container. Dip the new cutting into the rooting gel, then insert it into a moistened rooting plug and leave inside a propagator until rooted.

Aspirin is an anti-inflammatory drug, and is similar to the salicylic acid plants produce when they are stressed. It is often used in a plant-growing environment to increase the immune system and promote plant growth. In addition to rooting, aspirin is also effective in promoting plant growth. Mixing aspirin powder with 5 to 6 cups of water and soaking the cuttings in it will help your plants grow faster.Step 1: Just add one tablet of crushed regular strength aspirin (325 mg) to warm water (1 gal.) and let the cuttings soak for several hours before potting them in the pre-made rooting medium. Both soft-tip and semi-hardwood cuttings require to be cultivated in humid conditions. Using a propagator is the ideal tool to maintain a warm and heated environment easily. The biggest asset to the powder formula is the long-lasting shelf life of the product. This simple benefit is why many gardeners prefer powdered rooting hormone.

There are many things to consider when propagating plants: what is the best rooting medium or what plants will root in water. And, of course, we want all of our cuttings to root and be healthy. Although different mediums of rooting hormone are available, most gardeners have their own personal preferences. However, not to worry as all of them work equally well. It is just up to you whether you prefer liquid, gel or powder as each gardener’s opinion may differ. When taking cuttings, use a sterilised knife. Strip off a couple of leaves at the bottom of the plant and make a 45-degree cut. Step 1: All you need to do is mix 3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into 1 gallon of water and dip your cuttings in it then transfer them to the rooting medium. Powder rooting hormones have the best shelf time. Gardeners often prefer this type of rooting hormone because it lasts longer.
