Although this chainsaw comes with one battery and the matching charger, you can certainly use a battery from other powerall tools with it. If you have a large pruning task to do, line up other fully charged powerall batteries and switch them in when the current one runs out. This is an enormous advantage if have other Greenworks tools such as their mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers.
