About this deal

Difference between Samsung Android 8.0 Oreo device and 7.0 Nougat device | Samsung Support Philippines". Samsung ph . Retrieved 12 April 2018. Whether these differences will be enough to tempt would-be buyer’s who’ve resisted the S8 depends on what you desire out of a phone and if you can handle the higher price of the Note 8. a b c d e f g h i j k l m n Welch, Chris (23 August 2017). "Samsung's Galaxy Note 8 comes with a 6.3-inch screen and dual camera". The Verge. Vox Media . Retrieved 5 December 2017. The Note 8 was praised by both consumers and critics for the "Infinity Display" (meaning the display has much smaller bezels than the traditional smartphone), for its "punchy colors" and brightness, which is approximately 1200 nits.

The best big smartphone with a stylus

Gordon, Scott Adam (4 October 2017). "Galaxy Note 8 ties with iPhone 8 Plus for best smartphone camera: DxOMark". Android Authority . Retrieved 8 December 2017. Reasons Not to Install Galaxy Note 8 Oreo & 10 Reasons You Should". GearOpen. 19 June 2018 . Retrieved 13 September 2018. You also won’t get the best sound from the Note 8. It's a multimedia powerhouse visually, but its bottom-firing speaker still had us cupping the bottom of the phone to get better audio. Samsung has yet to deliver dual front-facing speakers like the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, or customizable Hi-Fi audio like the LG V30. Maybe next year.

Case in point: after putting the Note 8 to the test with our X-Rite colour calibrator, we found it covers 98.2% of the sRGB colour gamut space. With an average delta E of 1.49 (anything less than 1.5 is preferred), the Note 8 produces wholly accurate colours across the board, even if images are a tad overexposed. Graphics performance, as you can expect, is exemplary. The Note 8 breezed past the GFXBench Manhattan 3.0 test, scoring a 42fps average at native resolution, and 64fps offscreen at 1080p. This’ll run any Android game you throw at it, no question. Of course, it's not quite a match for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, but given its lower price it doesn't have to be. The smaller manufacturing process also typically means improved power efficiency, so we should have expected to see the 3,300mAh battery last a decent bout longer than its competitors. If Samsung’s previous launches were anything to go by, I certainly didn’t expect to see battery life cut. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is obviously the bigger, more powerful option that comes with an S Pen Stylus. The biggest difference between the two phones is that there's an extra lens on its camera.

Galaxy Story

Like the predecessor, it supports video recording with 2160p (4K) at 30 fps (limited to 10 minutes each video [10]), 1080p (Full HD) at up to 60 frames per second and 720p (HD) slow motion at up to 240 frames per second. [11] Storage [ edit ] One is a wide-angle lens with an aperture value of f/1.7, which should give the Note 8 the upper hand in low-light shooting. Its second lens is the telephoto lens that offers greater zooming capability. If you were hoping that Samsung relocated the rear-facing fingerprint sensor to, say, the front of the Note 8 or at least a spot that was easier to access, you'll be disappointed to know that it's snug against the camera – just like the S8.
