Rinko Touch Keycaps set by Mechkeys.com will come next to match with our Beautiful Rinko IEMs. Stay tuned with us for more details. I’m definitely not the first to report on the Yume’s subpar technicalities (at least in comparison to its outstanding tonality) so if anything I’m on the bandwagon. So if you’re someone expecting the Yume to be some A-tier or even S-tier contender for a stupid-low price, I preemptively apologise for shattering your hopes and dreams. After all, if it’s too good to be true… The render tips hifigo made for them are very comfy and besides the minor note of slight delamination between the foam and silicone that can happen which fixes itself when reinserted or smoothed out, i really love them. They are a good balance of pliable enough to be easy to shape but firm enough to seal well and are definitely softer then the symbio hybrid tips they mimic conceptually. The iems body casings are well shaped and fit my ears very well and the matte finish has made me not worry much about them. The Sony is noticeably warmer than the Yume, and their bass response is fuller, deeper, and more powerful. They have punchier bass, better layering, and they sound more engaging. The Yume, on the other hand, have a more calm bass performance, with slightly better clarity down low. I play FPS game csgo most of the time so enemy position where they are coming from i can have a decent visualization of it .The Yume have a more forward midrange compared to the KXXS, which are a step behind. This makes the Yume create better vocal clarity and resolution. The KXXS still have a decent amount of detail, just that they aren’t as potent as the Yume. Immediately after unboxing, there was a rough texture like that of piezoelectric, but after about 8 hours of aging, the roughness was smoothed out. Gear used for testing includes the Shanling UA5, Topping DX1 and SMSL C200. It’s an efficient IEM and therefore does not require a lot of power to drive – feel free to plug it into any source. Following the manner of expression in perfumery and wine tasting, the components of the sound are described below. The carry case has a cute design, with bunny ears drawn on top. It actually reminds me of the Fir Audio IEMs case (I.E. the Fir VxV), which use a bunny logo. It took me a while to figure out how to open the carry case.

For the planned retail price they might still find their audience but I'd always prefer to save a litte more and make the jump to the Kato since they are tuned so much better in comparison. The instruments sound relaxed and detailed without sounding metallic, regarding a micro planar , while the vocals seems to have a forward presentation. The SeeAudio Rinko was sent to me by Hifigo in exchange for a review. No incentive was given and all the opinions are my own. The final score is also based on their value for money rather than sheer performance. On technical aspect, PHOENIXCALL performs pretty well, as it has decently spacious sound field presentation and better imaging. The rest of the technical capabilities are alike with Rinko's. So, now one more chifi company sees the light of Sean and his olives. But adherence to Harman only gets you so far, and that’s even assuming they hit it in the first place. So now IEF answers the age old question: how good is the Yume actually?
