There's a bezel less design with a matching central stand allowing the TV to fit on any surface at home. The TCL C735 TV is powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex-A73 processor with 3GB of RAM and a Mali-G52 MP GPU. We want to be as honest with you as possible, so please be aware that this panel may convey colors somewhat less faithfully and accurately. This TV is 144hz VRR native: the highest standard in the TV industry and perfect for e-sport games and FPS. Overall though, the performance was reasonable with nothing that drew too much attention other than the normal technical limitations of LCD technology.

Usually with 55-inch TVs this cheap you’re firmly in bog-standard, no-frills territory where the best you can hope for is some half-decent picture quality. There will also be the addition of Calman AutoCal but this wasn’t working at the time of our review in November 2022.There’s no true local dimming in the edge LED lighting system, despite the set carrying a Micro Dimming feature. The 55C735K’s HDR tone mapping is good enough, too, to deliver reasonable amounts of subtle shading in the brightest HDR picture areas, avoiding the excessive bleaching out of these HDR picture areas that can sometimes afflict such affordable TVs. WiFi and Bluetooth wireless connections for connecting a mouse/keyboard or wireless headphones complete the list. The 65C815K’s backlight problems with dark HDR scenes are impossible to ignore/disguise in a dark-room environment. The default Vivid mode, for instance, is a particularly bad offender when it comes to the crushed detail in dark scenes and distractingly overwrought colours.

In the same way we have compatibility with Google Assistant that allows us to control certain functions of the television by voice. The 55C715K’s out-of-box pictures are slightly garish, displaying overcooked colours in SDR (standard dynamic range) content. It runs slickly, supports Google Chromecast and Google Assistant voice recognition (complete with a far-field mic), and the support for both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision means you always get the optimum picture quality any streaming source offers.But at this market level, there are very few competitors that do better when it comes to HDR playback. Obviously the most popular streaming platforms such as Netflix , Prime Video , YouTube , Star+ , Disney+ and HBO Max will be available . The first thing to consider is that we are talking about the 65-inch version that has dimensions of 832 x 1447 x 80 mm , being a suitable television for large rooms or halls. It’s less of a problem during the day, but becomes fairly evident when light levels in a room start to drop.
