Description

I have read more than a few reviews of the book that make the point that All Good People Here might be inspired by this very well-known case.

When she was six years old, the little girl across the street was abducted and murdered, the case went unsolved. There is lots of TELLING to fill you in on the background of the January Jacobs case and plenty of interviews in the present day, similar to how a podcast unfolds. the small indiana town is a great setting, the people in its community are pretty interesting characters, and the combination of both create an engaging atmosphere. Special thanks to NetGalley and Random House Publishing Group/ Ballantine for sharing this digital reviewer copy with me in exchange my honest thoughts. The storyline was clearly inspired by real-life events of at least one real-life crime, that of JonBenét Patricia Ramsey. And after Krissy finds Jase standing over January, she supposedly has enough time to get Jase back to bed (without asking him what happened, for some reason), get rid of the body, and spray paint the wall (again, why? With all the old feelings rushing back, Margot vows to find Natalie and to solve January’s murder once and for all.

At the core of the company and all its content, Ashley and her team are committed to developing responsible true crime content. I cannot thank NetGalley, Ashley herself, and Random House Publishing Group enough for an early copy of this book for a honest review. Perhaps it depends on which characters we are rooting for – and, if we are satisfied with the outcome. Margot was January’s neighbor and childhood friend, and she has always felt that she is only alive because the murderer chose to target January instead of her.And I’m pretty sure there would admissibility issues for evidence that was discovered as part of a break in. All Good People Here has plot elements similar to a completely spectulative and unproven theory about the JBR case, that one or both of JBR’s parents staged the scene to cover up the fact that someone in the family was involved in what happened to JonBenét. Crime Junkie fans and readers alike will be ready to settle in for what can only be described as a hair-raising, thrilling, twisty and chilling read that is every bit what we would expect from our favorite hostess. Really, I would have believed almost any motive for Billy to kill Krissy– he found out he wasn’t the father of Jase and January, he believed her to be January’s killer all those years and then just snapped, he found out that she was having an affair with a woman–except for the one that was given.

January Jacobs was just six years old, when she was found dead in a ditch, hours after her family woke up and found her gone.Very disappointed in this one, not sure I'd be willing to give Ashley Flowers another chance after this. Written in a dual timeline narrative, it gives us the 1994 disappearance of a six year old girl and a similar disappearance twenty years later.
