Aged for seven years in Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, this is a deep and rich dram that carries delicious flavours of figs, hazelnuts and dark chocolate. The Arran Distillery was founded in 1995 by Harold Currie, despite his being repeatedly warned against such an endeavour. It’s been a busy couple of years with the new distillery commencing production, paving the way for the creation of a very different style of Arran malt. The variety of casks used was in part due to the lack of a wood policy that led them to simply fill whatever casks they could.
