Apart from the anime TV series, there have been many Bleach anime films, OVAs, various video games, a few light novels and manga spin-offs, and even a series of musicals that ran from 2005 till 2012. It then ends with the phrase “The Jaws of Hell Christening Arc” (or words to that effect, it was weirdly left untranslated in the official release…) signifying the beginning of a new story, and given all these new bits of info, sounds like it’ll be a fun one! However, the Thousand-Year Blood War arc is hundreds of chapters in the manga, so that’s why the Bleach 2022 anime is 4 cours.

The last time we watched Ichigo Kurosaki he had lost his powers and struggled to regain them with the help of Rukia Kuchiki. The setting takes place twelve years after the Blood War and two years following the events of the last chapter.
