It is tuned very well, and while the dynamic driver inside it isn’t the most capable, I think the sound engineers did the best that they could with the cards they were dealt with. No money was involved during this review, rest assured that everything written on this review will be unbiased. In the mid-range, the lower V of the Blon offers a somewhat fuller sound, with a timbre that I prefer as natural, more musical and pleasant. The detachable cable is made from 4 strands of anti-tension and anti-interference wire for main wire.
Some may find the 1-2k bump to be unsettling and piercing, Harman fatigue or shouty sopranos in general, good for male vocals or soft voice.This is a thick-brush representation, there is not much room for the tiniest nuances, which impoverishes the listening experience, especially if you play music that you know down to the smallest details. They have some well-received IEMs in their bullet-shaped E series line-up, with gems such as the E500, E1000, E2000, E4000, E5000, and today’s E3000. The package has the earpieces in a plastic tray at top and a box beneath with the accessories hidden from view. much bass and too little control… I upgraded the cable to a balanced and tips to foam and the shimmer (upper treble impact) has improved and the phones sound a lot clearer but the bass is still too much. Subbass has more focus than the midbass and exhibits great depth; it is able to reach those really deep rumbles accompanied by a slightly above average length of decay.
The backplate has a chrome-finish that’s prone to picking up smudges and scratches and looks similar to the earcups of the Apple Airpods Max. However, BLON did not get it right with their first dual-driver IEM, esp since dual-dynamic setups are hard to pull off. This set is light and comfortable, I have used the E3000 for hours upon hours without any discomfort. BLON has been ramping up their release cycle lately with new IEM releases appearing almost every month. The BL-Max have the qualities to offer them, but they don't, so we have to be satisfied with a marked V in this first half.As I’ve preached many times over and over, I’m just one guy on the internet and I should not be your only source of impressions and/or criticisms. If you think the BL-05S sound thin in the mids or too dry in the bass for your liking – BL-MAX might suit you better. I love the tonal balance of the Blon BL-03…but it took special tips and a ring around the base of the nozzle to sound good.
True, the BLONs are tonally more satisfying, even more musical, but there is more sparkle and life in the Live 1s, and not just because of their name. On one hand, it’s good to have more options in the market, and the potential for another “budget gem” is ever welcome.Generally speaking, they are not the most comfortable iems and some people will certainly find it hard to get a proper fit. The round ones are okay, but I prefer after testing to use my favorites, JVC spiral dot, TRN, Spinfit and good old KZ tips. You may receive an “ideal sample” with the aforementioned linear response, or receive a unit that’s similar to the three that I have. I noticed that BL03 received same rating here as Samsung AKG EO-IG955 (freebie with Galaxy S8, which I owned for several years). The T4 offer less bass, especially in the sub-bass section; speed is similar, but the T4 offer more physicality.
Stick to infomation and let others use better listening skills and concentration than you can manage. There’s not much else in the box, except for 3 pairs of silicone eartips, the detachable cable and a fabric carrying pouch.Imaging and separation is class-leading on the BL-05S so the BL-MAX don’t sound that impressive anymore. Some earphones manage to rip through the curtains of anonimity and become highly-hyped products that everyone seems to be looking for. I think that this was an exceptionally fair review, and there was perhaps no need to be so concerned about stoking people’s feelings.
