Royal Salute was launched on 2nd June 1953 as a tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on her Coronation Day. In 1842, Chivas Brothers were requested to supply provisions to the royal family at Balmoral Castle upon Queen Victoria’s first visit to Scotland. Chivas Regal’s Royal Salute is considered one of the finest Scotch whiskies by those in the know and was created in 1953 to honor the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.
