About this deal

The original soundtracks for all the arcade games up to Dance Dance Revolution Extreme were produced by Toshiba EMI under their Dancemania dance music brand. Dancing Stage EuroMix 2 and Dancing Stage SuperNova for arcades feature the 16 original songs from EuroMix without the need for an unlock code. The "Virtuality" music video notably shows the VBirds members dancing on flying dance pads to the rhythm of the arrows shown on screen. The core gameplay of Euromix 2 is very similar to Euromix, but also introduced a new two-tier scoring system and freeze arrows. In North America, the game received a PlayStation port, which omits "Butterfly" and "Make It Better (So-Real Mix)".

Earlier background and banner for the song VANITY ANGEL, which have slightly different text styling, can be found several times as unreferenced files within CARD. Easy, which has the same song selection as Normal, limits players to one stage but enables them to play to the end of the song even if the dance meter is completely depleted. There are two metal dance "mats" or "pads" that are placed on the floor in front, which the player stands on. In total, the gameplay modes include the traditional game and nonstop modes, Workout Mode, Lesson Mode (containing tutorials), Training Mode (allowing the player to practice specific portions of songs), and Endless Mode, most of these modes and one additional song are unlocked through regular play. Unlike EuroMIX 2, Dancing Stage MegaMiX implements the new Options Menu which debuted on DDRMAX: Dance Dance Revolution 6thMIX, allowing easier access to modifiers which required special codes entered on the difficulty selection screen on previous versions.Among the licenses, eight are from Universal Music Group, and this is the only appearance of these songs in a Konami arcade game. When the scrolling arrows overlap the stationary ones, the player must step on the corresponding arrows on the dance platform, and the player is given a judgement for their accuracy of every streaked note. Soft, a replacement of Easy, activates the Little option permanently and only allows one song to be selected. On April 20, 2000, Konami released a version of Dance Dance Revolution 2ndMix for the Dreamcast console.
