About this deal

Pausing the music and holding my ear to the speakers and subwoofer, all are 'dark' with no interference noise. Finally, that song has several musical instruments that I could place on the soundstage easily with the D50.

DX3 pro+ - topping

I tried not using it, but I keep getting drawn back to it, as it makes my favorite tunes sound more complete. Old setup was k701s with a DIY stack (Millet Hybrid /w Diamond Buffers, Monica 2 DAC and STEPs PSU). You get a high-end, very well-balanced, detailed but musical sound and you’ll fall in love with it right away.I've got a Burson V6 laying around but it's currently having a duty in my Lehman as headphone amp and pre-amp which is doing a darn fine job there. Due to changes in the circuitry the DX3 Pro+ offers 60% lower THD+N when it comes to DAC and 85% lower THD+N in HPA. And if the sound prowess were not enough already, you can top that with praise-worthy build quality, an excellent screen, a complete bundle, and a conception design that makes it the perfect companion for any of your digital source – heck, it even works on the PS5. Hi, I bought the Topping dx3+ pro to use it on my pc to replace a vintage Kenwood basic c2 preamp (used for headphones) but I was disappointed with the extension towards the low frequencies, the response ends already at 30Hz. When the keys are hit, it's as if someone is tapping the inside of my skull when listening via the D50 - the sound is so sharp.

DX3 Pro+, or Something Else Just For An Amp? Topping L30, DX3 Pro+, or Something Else Just For An Amp?

The DX3 Pro+ is noticeably if not significantly more clinical sounding than the Dragonfly Red, which is a bit of a drawback for me. If you’re happy with the sound signature of your vintage gear, I wouldn’t recommend any alterations. In that white box, you’ll get a remote control, which may come handy, especially if you plan to use the DX3 Pro in your stereo setup with no remote to control the volume. Since I'd have to convert the socket from sop8 to dip8 and with the limited space available that will be a bit of a challenge. But maybe just getting bored and want to try something new but also want to keep the same warm sound. The DX3 Pro+ sounds cohesive and expressive whether you’re feeding it absurdly large DSD files or streaming from Spotify. The DX3Pro+ comes equipped with a high-performance ES9038Q2M chip, that provides transparent audio signal decoding achieving ultra-low distortion, ensuring Hi-Res sound output.
