Geminesse features notes that are still used in today’s fragrances, which include notes of leather, vetiver, musk, oakmoss, jasmine, amber, muguet, ylang-ylang, citruses, rose and tuberose. So far from what I’ve tried, the original Bottega Veneta is still my favorite floral leather of all time.It encapsulates everything about that time period and will have you feeling as though you are lying by the beach in the 1970s. I was surprised by how often I reached for it as I always thought I preferred bolder ‘saddle’ type leathers to its soft notes .

Instead of the watery ozone scents found in most fresh and flirty fragrances, this perfume features a leather and floral blend sitting on a musk and amber base. Hermes Cuir d’Ange is very pretty, too, and I’m still wearing it carefully since getting over a cold so I can truly appreciate it. The sad part is that top notes usually last very short, somewhere in the range of a few minutes up to 15 minutes.
