This nifty little number uses a MicroTex Filtration System to ensure that even the smallest particles are whipped out of the fibres of your flooring.

Henry Xtra Review - Is the Henry Xtra Worth the Extra Cost?

This model deals with pesky pet hair, has a brush for carpeting and a hard floor brush, has a 9L capacity with an energy Class of A, comes with storage… the list goes on, and on, and on. The three-stage, HEPA filtration system traps particles up to 800 times smaller in width than a human hair, meaning the Henry Allergy does a lot more in this regard than a normal vacuum cleaner, including others in the Henry range. Rumour has it that your Henry will work without the bag in it, but that you might not get the suction you could expect otherwise. In addition to the AiroBrush, the Xtra comes with a separate hard floor brush that you’ve guessed it, is great for cleaning those harder surfaces.I definitely noticed that the Airobrush floor tool left my carpets looking cleaner than the combi floor tool. As with other “regular” Henry vacuums, it has a 10m cable and six-litre dust collection chamber, and it also benefits from an additional tool, the FreeFlo, for more thorough pick-up, which isn’t included with the vanilla vacuum.

We raved about the new Henry Quick in our review, and honestly: it might be our head ecommerce editor Annie's favourite vacuum she's ever tested.

One minute you might be using him to vacuum up the dust and dirt from a carpet, the next you might be dealing with a blocked sink – it’s all the same to him. And that’s purely based on having the Airobrush carpet tool that gave a better result on my carpets. We speak to self-confessed clean freak Emma Bunton and find out what part of her home she loves to clean every day!

Henry Xtra review: we tried this bigger, better Henry to see

As with his plug-in mates, our tester Sarah found this Henry was capable of cleaning carpets, hard flooring, car interiors, and the aftermath of DIY projects. Yes, certain models are able to clean things like your drains, standing water, or any spillages in the kitchen or bathroom. The Xtra takes all the fantastic features from the original machine and adds some added extras on top. Whilst the standard Henry HepaFlo bags suit the likes of Henry, Hetty, James or Harry, you can also pick up larger bags which are needed for George, Charles, Henry XL and Henry XL Plus. The Henry Xtra – otherwise known as the Henry Extra Hoover – is Numatic’s attempt at an upgrade on the hugely popular Henry Hoover.Annie tested this vacuum for us in her two-bedroom South East London flat, which she shares with her husband and her pug (who loves to moult). Plus there’s a small connecting tube for when you want to connect them directly to the end of the hose. Being able to handle liquids does, however, mean that Charles can be used to unbung blocked-up sinks just as easily as it can to dry damp floors, the latter courtesy of a dedicated wet floor tool that supplements the regular toolset that comes bundled with Henry.
