An idyllic wellness retreat on the beautiful island of Gozo may not be all it seems in this wholly addictive, compulsive suspense which shows C. This is a surprisingly very enjoyable film, that's really quite cute, with an enjoyable story and a wonderful performance from Queen Latifah!The menu is embossed with the chef's name, a man she's idolized for years and whose cookbooks she's collected. He is now released and the retreat has reopened in North Wales,so Fran is booked in under a pseudonym by her mother and emotionally blackmailed into attending. You know from the start there will be cheesy moments and a happy ending but it doesn't matter as you don't watch such a movie for surprises, nor to be intrigued.

I also thought she was quite clued up and had great investigative skills, her and Caroline made a great pair and often made me giggle at their conversations. Suspicious deaths, missing sister at a wellness retreat, mental gurus or charlatans with deep secrets, dysfunctional family members who are obsessed to know what really happened the daughter/ sister, narrated by three different vivid women characters, alternating between past and present: this formula truly worked for me!

There's nothing so glamorous as snow, and since this movie takes place over Christmas, it's even more gorgeous. Queen Latifah plays Georgia Byrd, an introverted, soft spoken retail salesperson who's never done anything for herself and prefers to just dream about what could be. Fran’s sister Jenna went missing two years ago while she was on a wellness retreat at Gozo, the police told them she may have committed suicide but her mother wants answers and pushes Fran to go to Wales on a wellness retreat.
