AI is the headline feature of the iSTEADY V2, and it’s impressive, setting a high precedent for the gimbals other features and functions.

However, if you’re a filmmaker or vlogger, then you need to forget the aesthetics and focus on the tool that will enable you to get the best result, and at present, that is the Hohem iSTEADY V2. The OK gesture isn’t the only one that the small AI unit recognises; a holt hand stops the tracking, two thumbs up switches the orientation to landscape.

The Hohem iSteady V2 gimbal is a motor-stabilized gimbal with extra features like AI-powered face tracking. The grip is easy to hold, the two main buttons responsive, the zoom slider reasonably accurate, and the thumbstick as reactive as you need it to be.
