About this deal

Marmalade Game Studio, brings the board to life with a beautiful animated 3D city, carefully designed for an effortless and interactive mobile experience. It was only around from the 30s to the 50s, and it didn’t appear in many editions of the game during that time.

However, the token has a very interesting story, in 1935, 1937, and 1938 a few special sets were made with special tokens pictured further up. In 1998, a new piece was voted on to be added to the existing 10 ( 11 in gold sets) The winner was a sack of money, which appeared in most standard editions until its retirement in 2007.Two of the current Monopoly pieces – the battleship and the top hat – survive from the very first tokens introduced in 1936. The metal was needed for the war effort, so wood pawns were used for most "Monopoly" pieces during that time. The duck is the fourth animal token to have been introduced to Monopoly, following the Scottish terrier and the horse with rider (both 1940s), and the cat (2013).

A monopoly with three houses on each square is far more valuable with lots of low-rent single property squares.

While many board games use colorful little pegs as markers, Monopoly, the game with the unique power to unite and divide a family in the matter of an hour, has those odd tokens you’re no doubt familiar with.
