It is fresh with the top apple note and has this almost shampoo like smell to me but it stays masculine throughout. I get the green apple and mint, but I've never sensed any basil and lavender (which is fine, since I really like the smell of apples).

The performance is much better than those other two in their latest reformulation and this cannot be left to opinions, it's just a fact. This is a spring/summer fragrance for daytime and casual wear but it's versatile enough to be suited for work as well, depending on what you do. This has been repackaged to separate it from Hugo Man (2021; the one with the oversized text on the bottle).

Very, very, VERY synthetic, and there are notes in there that really ruin it for me, a bit of pine, maybe?The opening is fresh and fruity you have the Boss DNA right away, its apple for sure but my nose gets mandarin too, i wish the opening lasts more because 1 or 2 hours i get the dry down, a woody base note with a sharp metallic synthetic note that i really hate , and the worst thing is after several days of use my nose catches this note rather quickly from all the beginning making this fragrance really unbearable.

and if youre going out later that night, then 1 spray on bare chest and sweat it out while clubbing. Green spicy freshness, this seems overlooked these days yet it's well worth revisiting now and again, there's something special about it (or perhaps I'm getting a tad nostalgic in my old age haha! I think more guys admired this fragrance on themselves and wore it because it made them feel good and confident and fresh.As the apple dies down, you get a lot of the fir note in the base along with some lavender and sage.
