Hydromol Cream is a light and gentle moisturiser that helps to smooth the surface of the skin by sealing in moisture.

If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using Hydromol ointment and inform your doctor or pharmacist . If your condition worsens or you experience any undesirable effects, stop using Hydromol Ointment and consult your doctor or pharmacist. The stratum corneum contains natural water-holding substances that retain water seeping up from the deeper layers of the skin.Hydromol’s formula also contains sebum and soft white paraffin, natural oil that slows down the evaporation of water from the skin’s surface, locking in the moisture and preventing the skin from drying quickly. Read the leaflet that comes with the ointment or talk to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist if you want more information about the possible side effects of Hydromol ointment. Its unique formulation contains sodium pyrrolidone carboxylate, a humectant that attracts water from both within the lower layers of the skin and from the atmosphere when humidity is high. When this layer becomes dehydrated it loses its flexibility and becomes cracked, scaly and sometimes itchy. If you forget to use Hydromol Cream on any occasion, do not worry, just apply the cream and continue as normal.

This avoids diluting the effect of the treatment and spreading it to areas of skin that do not need it. Emollients are often used to help manage dry, itchy or scaly skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis. Moisturisers are helpful for all dry skin conditions, particularly eczema and dermatitis, which get worse when the skin is allowed to dry out. Emollients can be applied as often as you like to keep the skin well moisturised and in good condition.
