The Nexus is designed to work with all the Corsair products in the iCUE ecosystem, but the functionality isn't limited only to Corsair products.

I realize the problem probably lies more with Windows then it does with the Nexus app, but it would be great if there was some way around this. You can create media controls, remap buttons to the screen, and even create macros that include both keystrokes and mouse inputs. Once you’ve got the iCUE NEXUS set up, download the latest version of iCUE and you’re off to the races with some preset screens that’ll provide easy access to controls for your connected CORSAIR hardware! I believe the actual install location is in Program Files/WindowsApps but that folder is owned by TrustedInstaller, and I DO NOT want to manually change ownership. The first module gets replaced with a "hung/stuck/not responding app" where I can long-press the corresponding screen key to kill the app without having to open up task manager. The staff at Tom’s Hardware wholeheartedly believes you can never have enough screens in your PC life. But in icue after I did the firmware update I could not change nor add the screen widgets also the were none standard widgets in icue shown, and the screen kept black after the update.

And while the screen is ample enough for taps and swipes, it’s hard not to wish the display filled up more of that blank black bezel space. Corsair’s new iCue Nexus touch-control LCD display is definitely a niche product, aimed at those with Corsair peripherals and RGB-laden components. I'm probably the only person in the universe to try to have a Nexus with MacOS, so I understand if the support isn't there. Could be used for gothic styled games involving war between heaven and hell and may or may not share a name with a mountain in California.

Once plugged in, the iCue Nexus will pop up as one of your controllable pieces of kit in iCue, alongside whatever else you have that’s iCue controllable. I do a lot of background editing too, and it's fun to do now when I know how to do it with a free background eraser tool from Depositphotos. Reddit and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide you with a better experience.

There’s also quite a bit of visual customizability, and the ability to mount it (via 3M tape) either on the back of a keyboard (K70 RGB MK.After a rough start with the Mattel Aquarius as a child, Matt built his first PC in the late 1990s and ventured into mild PC modding in the early 2000s. Once the library is open, you can drag your buttons or widgets from the iCUE Nexus preview into the library to save them. Like others, the inability to get CPU frequency (again useful to see if your core speed has ramped up), and GPU frequency (same issue), as well as other sensors, seems to significantly limit this as, say, a replacement for the need for rainmeter which is what I was hoping it could be. I'm looking for a background for my lighting tab, just a simple gif that's sized would be amazing if anyone will make it. I'm using the Corsair K95 RGB Platinum XT, a phenomenal mechanical keyboard with a full range of volume, lighting, and media controls, as well as a column of macro keys that can even be used for streaming.
