Undertaking a 30 day review of the R200 meant that we could really get to grips with it and push ourselves and the machine to its full as well as finding out if it had any funny little quirks that might become annoying over time.

This warranty does not extend to any bike that has been damaged or rendered defective: (a) as a result of an accident, misuse, abuse or lack of reasonable care; (b) by the use of parts not manufactured by JLL Fitness or sold by JLL Fitness ; (c) by modification of the exercise bike; (d) as a result of service by anyone else other than JLL Fitness or an authorized JLL Fitness warranty service provider. The choices here are ash, oak, cherry, walnut or the black-painted ‘Club’ so that your new toy will look native whether you have a mid-century modern home or a minimalist Scandi abode. The rail of the machine is definitely not the longest and some users (6’+) may struggle to use the machine comfortably. Don’t expect much in the way of device connectivity as there isn’t any but to be honest it isn’t needed and if you are looking for a good quality rower that just works and is low cost then this is it.

Other user-friendly aspects for at-home use include the lack of noise produced by the mechanisms and the general ease of use – essential when there are no helpful gym staff members to guide you. While rowing, the R200 is reasonably quiet, although it does occasionally get a mysterious rattle under the seat that eventually seems to resolve itself. Because the main rail is bolted to the flywheel section, there's nary a wobble or shake to be found. This method is really simple and means that that the machine can be easily put away when it is no longer required, something that is aided by the inclusion of the in-built wheels. Even better, it uses cleverly incorporated buttons built into the handles to make it easy to adjust the resistance during your rowing sessions.

If you’re planning on doing some rowing whilst watching the television, you’ll definitely like how quiet this is. Offering a gloriously gentle “whoosh” with every stroke, the rowing sensation is about as close to skimming across a picturesque pond as it gets. I recommend getting a rowing machine mat to protect your floor and reduce any movement if you are concerned.Folding the rowing machine involves unscrewing two knobs and raising the slideway until it locks into an upright position, tightening one of the knobs to secure it.
