my biggest gripe with the book is that the final 1/3 is no more than a summary of liverpool seasons under klopp, considering the target audiance for this book is liverpoll/football fans the ending seemed unneccessary.

However, the book rarely delves too far into Klopp's management style, other than the extent to which he uses player stats in his management, which is not much. With expert analysis and great contributions from fellow manager, players, directors, analysts and more this book goes further than you would expect from a biography.

Järjekordselt oli väga vähe juttu ta naisest, kui palju mängis tema rolli Kloppi elu tasakaalustamises? And it is reflected in the book, which gives the overall context and “feel” around the development of Mainz, Dortmund, and Liverpool within Klopp's respective periods in life, from the wreck at the beginning for each club to the few years of building up the team until its success stories for Dortmund and Liverpool. It is so fresh that one imagines Quinn still annotating the manuscript as it was being sent to the printers. Tema uudne idee lihtsalt suutis genereerida tulu mängijatelt, kellest tippklubid muidu mööda vaatasid.

As a biased Liverpool fan, whose club just won the first English title in 30 years thanks to this err, saint, with many records broken in the process, this book is like the icing on the cake. Liverpool are quite close to winning the Premiere League after 30 long years and his name will surely be taken along with Bill Shankly at Merseyside. Jurgen has two sons including Marc Klopp, a defender who played for Dortmund who retired early due to injuries. He developed his 'gegenpress' style from the outset of his coaching days and has continued with it to the present day. When you think about Greek Scouser, Kostas Tsimikas likely appears in your mind, but, please, allow me to introduce another one of thousands of Greek Scousers in this world: me, Marios.

Mr Klopp was full of praise for his wife's literary talents: "It's like Harry Potter but about football. Honigstein does a good job of interrogating the myth and not just lapsing into hagiography, but on some level the results speak for themselves. The author has a special way to depicts a scene and brings us into the mood in the stadiums, in the pubs, and you can just taste the emotions among the supporters. She told German newspaper Der Spiegal that the book illustrated the "fascination of football" and "the longing for a distant hero world". For a Liverpool fan (like this reader) one can read Honigstein's book between the lines and draw some some tentative thoughts about the Klopp era at the club.

He remembers how Huyton’s “green fields and meadows were swallowed up by the black jaws of industry”. this book offers a unique insite into the development of jurgen klopp as a person first and foremost.

it's clear why the CEOs and Sporting Directors of all 3 clubs only have positive things to say about Klopp in this book. He had long been admired in the Premiership and was finally wooed by Liverpool in the belief he could bring back the glory days to the Kop. If you watch Liverpool matches, your attentions as well as media's will be mostly drawn to an animatic and passionate bespectacled guy on the touchline. I understand what Honigstein was trying to achieve – linking his first days at each club together to enable the reader to make comparisons between his time at Mainz, Dortmund and Liverpool. while this book succeds in capturing the persona of the big german, it fails in many other respects.I couldn't follow these parts of the book, but what I really liked about the book is the author gave enough emphasis on how Klopp started, grew and learnt about the art of football and also about Klopp's superb character which nails him to be a great football manager. I have never paid any serious attention to how Mainz use to play but Klopp's name use to come up again and again. I learnt a lot less about his time in Germany than I expected, and nor was there a lot of entertainment.
