How did all of this, this entire series of 7 big books, journeys, relationships, battles, all happen in JUST ONE YEAR? I would highly recommend the tandem read of Empire of Storms and Tower of Dawn when you get to that point.

I’ve seen some posts suggesting that parts of “Tower of Dawn” won’t make sense if you read it before “Empire of Storms”.Aelin trained at the Assassins' Keep in Rifthold, and it was there that she spent the majority of her life following the deaths of her parents. As they are escaping, six Yellowlegs witches are coming after them when Briar and Edda arrive to help. She discovers that her magic is as great as Mala Fire-Bringer's - due to being her heir and descendant. She and Sam hand Arobynn's letter to Rolfe; he finishes reading it, then reveals that he will not be compensating Arobynn in gold, but rather—much to Aelin's horror—is brokering a slave trade agreement with him. After the deaths of her parents and Orlon, her uncle and King of Terrasen, she became the sole survivor of Terrasen's royal family.
