About this deal
All other photography, either with the phone’s 64MP main shooter or the first ultrawide camera, are shot with the main screen swiveled shut. And for the most part, this works pretty well: With a reasonable amount of light, you'll get incredibly smooth video, with hand shake being completely obliterated by LG's software stabilization. More importantly, the software cleanly pulls off switching from swiveled-open and swiveled-closed orientations.

Hopefully LG improves the software to allow for more intuitive control of apps, especially in the main screen's carousel. The Wing has wireless charging and Qualcomm QuickCharge 4, allowing for fast charging using USB-C PD adapters at up to 28W. Lastly, with all these moving parts, it's not surprising that the LG Wing 5G doesn't have an IP dust- and water-resistance rating.Much of the multi-screen experience is smooth, and the transitions when swiveling the main screen open and closed are pretty seamless. star Surface Duo and 4-star Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 reviews largely comes down to the fact that the Z Fold 2's software feels finished, and the Surface Duo's doesn't. Depending on how you hold the Wing, and how you use its main screen, it's possible to do things that are simply impossible on most other smartphones.

I'm not going to make any judgments about the performance of the Snapdragon 765 processor here, because once again, this is early software. Writing more than a couple paragraphs on the mini-screen gets a bit annoying, but mostly due to the form factor, given the phone is slightly top-heavy when swiveled open. You can let the frame move, but only on the horizontal axis, preventing vertical shake when you're walking.
That said, using the Wing in anything other than the "closed" or "T-shaped" configurations isn't the most comfortable experience. The most interesting part of the Wing's software experience is the new experiences it enables for the dual-screen pairing. But the LG Wing 5G has a far more dynamic design than today’s smartphones, one that will likely draw eyes whenever it’s swiveled open.
