About this deal

Elizabeth was not considered likely to ever serve as Queen since she was third in line to the throne. This was a fascinating book that has so much history to learn and also terrific whimsical information that children are likely to love. I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers. Little Elizabeth loved dogs and horses and dreamt of living on a farm, But one day she heard chants on the streets. Unfortunately we cannot offer a refund on custom prints unless they are faulty or we have made a mistake.

I am a huge fan of the books in this series and I knew that this one was due to be released before her death on 8th September 2022 so it is just good timing that it has been released now so shortly after her passing but I think it is a book that will be really of benefit. Working for more than fifteen years for clients in top advertising agencies, her books combine creativity with learning, aiming to establish a new and fresh relationship between children and pop culture. My daughter is 5 and she did a song and dance at school for the Queen's Jubilee in June this year and has asked me a lot about the Queen lately following her funeral on 19th September which has also sadly coincided with the passing of her grandad so we have been able to use this book to talk about the positives too. Unlike her grandchildren today who are being raised in the shadow of what’s ahead, the first decade of Elizabeth’s life was carefree, with little understanding nor expectation of a royal destiny.GEE FAN ENG, graduated in Visual Communication and, after one-and-half years in the design industry, decided to embark on a full-time illustration career. The hand drawn work of Cachetejack takes a fresh and unique style working in a variety of mediums, including—but not limited to—books, magazines, newspapers, clothing, drawing, painting, walls and illustration. The majority of his work is done by hand, using a combination of pen and ink line work and brush textures in a messy way to create a natural style of illustration.

Nevertheless, it's a world personality of the 20th and 21st Centuries you can't skip due to her relevance and I still very much appreciate the book as a whole. She takes from this a very strong sense of duty and thinks a good Queen serves her people and not the other way around. This biography teaches children about such an important figure over the past 70 years and what a strong, gracious lady the queen was. She studied Fine Art at Castilla-La Mancha University, before earning a master's degree in graphic design and illustration from the University of Valencia. The author shows a young child becoming a princess and quickly after her Father’s premature death becoming Queen. Thanks to the author, illustrator, Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books, Frances Lincoln Children's Books, and NetGalley for the ARC.
