the strawberry isn’t synthetic, sweet, or lip balmy, it’s juicy and sour, closer to a true, natural strawberry scent. I know a lot of people find Marc Jacob fragrances boring and kind of cookie cutter but that's ok to me. It may be "generic" compared to its contemporaries and compared to the perfumes that have come after it, but without question the original Daisy continues to be a stunner. Nothing really grabs me about it and I don't think I'd know it was Daisy if I smelled it on someone else. Marc Jacobs Daisy Garland with its calming blue daisy flowers is a soft musky floral take on the original Daisy.

I never liked it, perhaps because it seemed 100% floral and I could never detect the strawberry in the top note, nor the vanilla or wood notes below. A care-free contagious love of life celebrated in radiant florals and unexpected sparkling gourmand twists.Weddings, office, job interview, date night, dinner with friends, formal events, movies, sunday lunch, it is so universal. There are better perfumes IMO from Bath and Body Works, Victoria's Secret, Pacifica, Zara, or whatnot.

However, as my nose has developed to prefer more complex scents I just would not go repurchase this now. I do think its slightly more playful, not something to wear to a night out but more of a daytime/ work scent. The floral is pretty nice, bright and cheerful, yet when the powdery begins to release, this perfume just turns into a make up pouch. There are no daisies in the compositon but the fragrance is similar to them: gentle, nobly dry and slightly bitter. This article explains the difference between them all and links to where you can get them, including the discontinued ones.If you would like to change your settings or withdraw consent at any time, the link to do so is in our privacy policy accessible from our home page. But the powdery note--it smells distinctively like a make up pouch--really gives an impression of a woman who's aware of their appearance and its importance in their life, a woman who always try to consider crowds opinion and behave accordingly. I think it fits for a young girl with lots of personality, I don't really feel it's the right perfume for me now that I've grown older but I still like to wear it sometimes. It’s such a shame because it really is a lovely scent, but I can’t justify the cost when it doesn’t last. There is still a relatively strong violet note in Marc Jacobs Daisy Sunshine which keeps it similar to the original Daisy scent.

When Marc Jacobs Daisy came out in 2007 it was MY fragrance obsession to end all fragrance obsessions. I prefer Daisy Eau So Intense as that one is much heavier on the strawberry and its sweet moss dry down in to die for. It has a fruitiness without being too sweet, and it has a fresh floridness but still has some projection. It smells floral, but there is almost a hint of banana in there, even though there is no banana note. Think maiden archetype that gradually ages into a mother who keeps an external tinge of innocence, but becomes a bit edgier as she grows up.I already own several fragrances that are highly reminiscent of Daisy: Yellow Diamond, Eclat de Fleurs and Vince Camuto's FIori and I can definitely smell the resemblance to Chance Eau Tendre (which I don't yet own) as well. This is super sweet on me with some powder and some fruit, almost like Smarties candy, and has a midpoint of a flower bouquet that’s just about to rot. It isn’t necessarily juvenile, however I imagine this as a good fit for a fashionable young girl’s first perfume.
